Today's card is a sure sign of spring which is much needed around here after a long winter. The little robins have been nesting for weeks and through some pretty harsh weather. It was good to create a card for the season. The layout is called Bookfold as the 1" segment to the left of the ribbon is glued down. A change from the usual but still shows off a lot of pretty patterned paper. I continued the pattern across the book fold and front but you could use two different and complimentary patterns as well. I wanted the bird to blend in with the paper rather than jump off the page (so to speak) so I stamped it in Crumb Cake ink and coloured it in with light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend. The Pool Party grosgrain ribbon has such great texture for tying in a knot or a bow. Happy Easter!
