The Creative Inkster Escape Room: April 25 2022

Here's a great layout to use up scraps from patterned paper OR cardstock OR mix and match a bit of both!

I did a little "splatter" technique on the Basic White card base using my Stampin' Write markers to "flick" the ink from the brush tip onto the card base. It adds that little wee bit of colour.

Here's a second card I did with cardstock strips to show off the new In Colors available May 3, 2022:

My video will give you all the dimensions and some helpful tips for putting this card together!

Gift Bag from 12" x 12" Patterned Paper

Wow them all with handmade bags for your gift giving. Great for any occasion and helps you use up that patterned paper I KNOW you have at home. I have loads, too! These go together in a jiffy and once you've made a few you'll always know the steps.

I made these up for my adult children's "Easter" treats this year and they loved them! Bonus: they can be repurposed. Just hang a tag using some twine and change it up for the next gifting. How big are they? 6" wide x 7" tall x 3" deep. Sturdy with a piece of cardstock (or cardboard if you like) at the bottom and it won't even show on the finished product.

Thanks for stopping by and let me know if you gave this a try!

Corner Flip Fun Fold Card

Don't let fun fold cards intimidate you! You've got this - and I'm here to help you. Usually a fun fold is featured on one of my Technique Tuesday videos, but this week here it is on a Monday.

This one is super easy and uses all the same pieces we're used to along with a layer of patterned paper on the inside. To make the flap, follow the scoring and tagging measurements in the video and you're set!
