All Aflutter in a show-stopping fun fold

Love a fun fold card and this one is a show-stopper! Designed for my Avid Stampers class later this month, the card features the new All Aflutter stamp set and punch bundle. I'm having a great time creating simple and more complex cards using these butterflies. They are a favourite of mine. So much so, my daughter has been known to reminder me, "Mum - not everyone loves butterflies as much as you do". But I do...truly....with flowers and pretty paper they are a go-to focal point on any card. You'll be seeing a lot of these this month!

Splash and Relax real soon with Summer on its way

It's not here yet...but summer IS coming! And I'll be ready with my shades, sandals, cold drink and book for afternoons in my backyard oasis! What about you? This card from my Silver Sister Tamara Bertram in Edmonton, AB puts me in the mood for summer. It's so sweet and adorable. The paper even looks like a fun beach towel. Great ready for warmer days, all!

Stack and Shuffle Card Technique

This card layout was a CASE from Brian King in the U.S. I was really drawn to making this based on the pretty colours in the Garden Poetry patterned paper. You cut 4 of the patterns to 3.75 inches by 5 inches. Stack them and cut all at the same time in 3 places to end up with 4 generous sized chunks. I did a little measuring to get the 4 pieces. Then stack and shuffle them to get one of each pattern on a piece of Basic White measuring 3.75 inches by 5 inches. Matte as many times as you like onto the cardbase and embellish. Each card is a little different but they all work beautifully together. The butterflies from All Aflutter are my new favourite!

May 2026 Monthly Class Project

We'll be making this card at my May Monthly Card Class - both in person and kit-to-go options. The Toadstools are so perfect for this time of year and the greetings from Banner Greetings are ideal for any age. I decided to add a small embossed layer with the ladybug picnic folder which I added ink to with a blending brush for added interest. This class features easy to make up cards for beginner to seasoned card makers. Check out the kit to go option

Nature's Symphony

Each month I do a four card tutorial for my team members - hey, membership has its privileges! This is one of the cards for May's tutorial and really is understated with the Nature's Symphony bundle. Doing the die cuts in various neutral shades brings out the Secret Sea colours around it. A perfect card for all occasions!

Hello Sunshine!

Sending Thinking of you card is a lovely way to stay in touch with family, friends, and customers if you have a business. I send out about 300 a year so I'm always making multiples to spread the joy. This one came together quickly with some linen thread as another layer between the stamped leaves and the greeting. Nice neutral colours for anyone and any occasion. Enjoy!

Paradise Garden Simple and Elegant Card

Making simple cards isn't always a thing we do...often it's bigger - better - more! So it was nice to step back and make more of a clean and simple card. On the white layer, I placed a few little score lines for attention and where they meet I covered with this flower from the Paradise Garden bundle stamped in Poppy Parade. The greeting and the die for it are also from the same bundle. Then I sprinkled 3 Iridescent Pearls that were coloured with Blueberry Bushel Stampin' Blends to tie it all together with the matte and the card base. Sweet and uncomplicated! What do you think?

Wagon Wheel Treat Holders

These Wagon Wheels treat holders will be a hit with the Elmira Community Living class this week. They always love a treat at the end of their crafting session. These came together super easily: Cardstock cut at 8.5 inch x 8.5 inch then cut on a diagonal. With the wide edge horizontal on the score board, score at 4 inches and 8 inches. Fold in each side to seal. That's it! I used cardstock but this would work just as easily with patterned paper. Super cute!

Perennial Postage Framed All Around Card

A pretty Framed All Around card with the floral image heat embossed in silver on a Perennial Postage die. Each flower was coloured with Poppy Parade and Old Olive Stampin' Blends. The dies are poppedup onto a piece of poppy parade then centred top to bottom on basic white embossed with the Beautiful Pattern embossing folder before adhere to the poppy parade card base. All it needs are a few rhinestone embellishments and white baker’s twine coloured with poppy parade Stampin' Blends to finish it off. A beautiful card from my Team member Wendy.

Jungle Pals Sloth Card

Blast from the past making a card with the retired Jungle Pals bundle. Thought I'd share with you all with a back story! The mascot for our Crop weekend is the sloth. This is the ONE stamp set with a sloth in it - I mean how many do you need? Perfect for my tablemate cards. With sloth mode on, we are most certainly relaxing. Happy Day!

Sweet as a Bug Hershey Kiss Treat Holder

I'm away at a Crop for this weekend in Stratford with 48 of my favourite scrappers. Most of the gang that attends does scrapbooking/memory keeping. I'm seated with my little band of merry card makers. This is one of the little gifties I made to share with my tablemates complete with a bag of Hershey kisses because who doesn't NEED chocolate when they craft? The box is simple: 6 x 6 inch square scored on all four sides at 1 inch. Then on one side score also at 2.5 inches and 3.5 inches. Fold up the bottoms and fold down the inside at the top. Like a said...super simple!

Exploring Nature Slim Line Card

Nothing like a slim line card to display coordinating patterned papers! This layout really uses up those scraps by displaying them beautifully. The greeting is from the Exploring Nature stamp set. That one comes with large greetings that are perfect for memory keeping and on large card fronts like this one. I think this would be an awesome card for someone striking out on their own, going on an adventure, leaving for College or University. Lots of possibilities. What do you think?

Everyday Arches with Framed All Around

Featuring my Team member Wendy's Creative Ambassador card CASEd from JilliBling. She started by choosing a patterned paper from Lovely and Beautiful and was inspired to use a coordinating card stock colour palette from there. For layers, Wendy used the Everyday Arches dies, embossing the outer arch. The floral image and sentiment are done in gold embossing powder and she coloured the flower with Stampin' Blends. These embellishments are retired but very much like the current Flower Accents. Beautiful card, Wendy!

Faux Tile featuring Paradise Garden

Tried the Faux Tile look for today's card by cutting my Basic White layer to 4 inches by 5 inches providing even 1 inch segments. Who says a card needs to be 4.25 inches by 5.5 inches? To achieve this look, I scored the white first at 1 inch on all sides. Next I stamped the image o the debossed side using this gorgeous Blueberry Bushel ink. The score lines creating the faux tile peek through. The flower, greeing and die are from the Paradise Garden bundle. Paired with Lemon Lime Twist cardstock it sure pops. Enjoy!

Look at this adorable layout with a circle cut out of another for a peek-a-boo featre. Love it! Today's card was designed by my daughter, Michelle, with the Welcome Baby Stamp Set. This is a new idea to me and I'm going to be CASE-ing it for sure. The stamp set and rectangular Textured Notes Dies are on the Last Chance list to pop those into your cart before they're gone. Cutest Crew Triplet Layout

For the cat lover in all of us....this card from my team member Holly is so darling. You can just see the kittens playing. I call this a "triples" card layout...with 3 small images - in this case die cuts - on theme. I find the little flowers look like wallpaper as a nice backdrop. Love the colour palette of Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Pecan Pie. Enjoy!

Using your Circle Punches or Dies in a new way!

What a way to use your circle punches or dies! Today's card was created by my talented team member, Dawn and uses 3 different sizes of punch circles in cut paper, folded over (but not quite fully in half) and the folded over side popped up on a dimensional. I'm so impressed that she hand drew the legs for each bird. This is over the top darling and I'll be making my own version of it real soon for monthly card class. Thanks, Dawn!

Simply Beautiful Wedding Card

For my swap card at this month's Team Stampin' Social, I did some heat embossing with gold from the Metallics WOW! embossing powder collection together with the large floral from the Simply Beautiful stamp set. The greeting was also embossed in gold with a layer of gold foik paper and some flower accents to tie it all together. Once embossed, use a blending brush to add a soft colouring to the centre of the flower and leaves. I think this makes a lovely wedding card!

Sliding inside Tuck Fun Fold featuring Delicate Dreams

A new fun fold! Compliments of Wendy on my team, this Sliding Inside Tuck fun fold card is a showstopper. See the 2nd photo for that magic. I love this simple and wow card so much. Wendy embellished with the Delicate Dreams suite of products. At the time of writing, these are due back in stock next week so you can get your hands on this gorgeous patterned paper with copper highlights and the dies. For making multiples (and prepping classes), stand alone dies that don't require stamping and die cutting are a breeze for getting projects done. Love this so much!

Sneak Peek of Moonlit Flora

Beautiful swap card from my team member Jane showing off the new Moonlit Flora Suite of products. The embossing folder has so much depth and dimension. It will quickly become your go-to folder for everyday cards. When I'm prepping embossed layers for a class, I love how you can just pop the paper in and not have to be precise when lining it up in the folder. Helps with making a bunch of these. Would double as a panel on a memory keeping page, as well. The paper has a lovely mix of colours: Basic Black, Berry Burst, Golden Glow, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Peaceful Pine, Pecan Pie, Secret Sea, Soft Sea Foam. Super card!

Ephemera packs make the card

I love an embossing folder that's perfect for any occasion and the Paradise Garden Hybrid is for me! So much depth of texture it makes the ideal background for the ephemera packs. No stamping on this card. To get the Garden Green matte on my greeting, I simply applied the greeting sticker to a piece of scrap card stock and hand cut around it. Doesn't get simpler than that. Enjoy!

Be Inspired with Ephemera Packs

Did you know we have pre-printed and die cut images and greetings? No ink required! We call these Ephemera Packs and they come with a variety of images and greetings to suit. Just add your cardstock and glue. I used the soon to be retiring Fully Flowering and Saying Something packs on today's card. I like the look of a vellum circle behind to add dimension and provide a layer for between the flower and embossed layer. Added a few Rhinestones and some Baker's twine from my stash and called it done! Our new May to August catalogue will feature new ephemera packs so keep your eyes open for these super tools for cardmaking ease. Enjoy!

Cute 3D treat holders featuring Petunia Pop and Pretty in Pink

Nope....it's not a card but could easily be a cute 3" x 3" card. This is a treat holder I made to hold Excel Mints. The cover features Petunia Pop and Pretty in Pink with Garden Green accents in the paper. I made these for the Global Inspiration Stamp Team presentations in March showing off retiring In Colors. Do you make treat holders for friends, co-workers, customers, family? I love making them. The challenge can be figuring out what to put in them. So there I was at Dollarama with my treat holder in the gum/candy aisle which gave me lots of reasons to chat about what I'm doing with fellow customers. Love these!

Fussy Cutting Tips with Simply Beautiful

I'm thoroughly enjoying playing with the Simply Beautiful stamp set. While I don't own the dies, these shapes are quite easy to fussy cut around. My tips for that are: use very sharp scissors; move the paper - not the scissors - around as you cut through; leave a small white border as it's really difficult to get it spot on the line so that wee border provides a buffer. Looks pretty good, eh? The colours used here are Peach Pie and Old Olive. I used my Stampin' Blends to colour in but the ink pad and a blender pen would do the trick nicely.

Simply Beautiful meets Paradise Garden

The Paradise Garden hybrid embossing folder is the star of the show on today's card. I embossed the card front as well as a the layer. To add the gorgeous black feature to the layer, after embossing, I dragged the black ink pad in vertical passes across the piece. The lighter the touch, the less ink in the recessed areas. This just screamed, "use Poppy Parade" to me so I added the flower coloured with Stampin' Blends and a strip of Poppy Parade cardstock behind the embossed/matted layer. In different colours, I could see using this for a wedding card, too! So many possibilities.

Pinwheel Style card using up 1" scraps

Last week, I shared an Easter card made by my team member Jane which was a CASE of this one we made at our March team stampin' social. This has got to be the easiest WOW card ever that uses up 1 inch wide scraps. I have them....I know you do, too! To make this card fit just right without funky 1/8 inch measurements, cut the embossed layer to 5 inches wide. In doing so, I made my card front slightly smaller at 5 1/4 inches by 4 inches. The dark green triangles were once 1 inch squares, cut in half on the diagonal and placed pinwheel style right over the patterened paper pieces measuring: 1" x 2" (cut 3) and 1" x 3" (cut one). Assemble so they all meet then add those triangles in matching colours. Love this card layout!

Elegant yet quick Gallery Blooms card

With these large flower stamps, I often like to stamp them without colouring in. This allows the details to really show through and adds a very elegant feel to the project. For this one, I used our retiring Pretty in Pink cardstock with a tone-on-tone embossed layer for the card front and built the stamped image over top matted on coordinating Night of Navy. The image is from the Gallery Blooms stamp set. A super quick card for all occasions!

Painting a message of thanks with Trusty Tools

Ok, isn't this cute? Features a few of our retiring In Colors: Shy Shamrock and Peach Pie along with Basic Black and Daffodil Delight. Confession time: I was eating homemade chocolate chip cookies while creating and left some chocolate smudges on the Basic White! So before finishing it off, I used the Summer Splash and Basic Black markers to "flick" some spots all over and embellish my oops. A wonderful way to say "thanks" to your favourite person!

Gears and Textures - just a note

Oh my lovely Gears and Textures out for another shared post. This one uses the dies in yet another way: adhered to a layer to create a 3D look. Really like how the card just oozes texture and dimension!

A lovely arrangement fun fold card

The Lovely Arrangements Bundle is one of my first choices from the current Mini Catalogue. The flowers are beautiful and easy to colour or leave blank with just a wisp of shading with a pencil or blending brush. This is my card from our latest Team Stampin' Social Swap and is a bit of a fun fold - does that count? - with the flowers tucking the card shut. The coordinating paper is beautiful in Secret Sea against the Petal Pink card base. Happy to share this one with you!

Happy Easter Greetings with a half sunburst layout

I've shared this card with our online Demonstrator group and got some great feedback. Want to join that FB group? Get the Starter Kit! I'd love to have you join my team, The Inksters.

They loved the half starburst look with these soft subtle spring colours: Lemon Lolly, Balmy Blue, Old Olive and a touch or Pretty in Pink. For these angled starbursts, I cut three strips of 2" x 3 1/4" patterned paper. Then I sliced each one in half diagonally. I started in the centre so the two long straight edges matched up then moved out from there. And it came together just like that. Enjoy!

Paradise Garden Hybrid LEAF Embossing folder

Beautiful Pattern Arrow Card

My long time friend and Team Member, Dawn, really knocked this one out of the park for our March Team Stampin' Social Swap! This is a variation on the Arrow Card layout. Still fits in a standard envelope, but packs a wow with the angled look and showing off your patterned paper to the fullest. I've seen a new way of getting your hand cut greetings to be evenly spaced by tracing around the stamp outline with a light pencil. Then cut out the stamped image just inside that pencil mark. You'll follow the stamp's outline perfectly. Love this card, Dawn!

Oh so cute! the only Easter card you need LOL. Today's card was designed and shared by my friend and team member, Jane at March's Stampin' Social Swap. And oh so easy: You need some strips of patterned paper measuring 1" tall by 2 or 3" ish long. Add them to your embossed layer then pop it up onto a card front. Finish off with a small greeting, ribbon/embellishment and focal point. This cute bunny is from the Easter Basket stamp set and die bundle. Ready for Easter!

My final card this month showing off the Good Luck stamp set. Kind of a "sleeper set" that you might not see flipping through the catalogue quickly. Sharing a few different ways to use it and other stamp sets: stamp a small greeting across a layer like the horseshoes here; colour a white or beige ribbon with the coordinating Stampin' Blends for a match; add an embossed layer for texture and dimension and finally, add a layer to your greeting label by cutting it in half and adhere behind. Starburst Card featuring retiring In Colors

My take on this starburst card featuring three of our retiring In Colors: Pretty in Pink, Petunia Pop and Shy Shamrock. This was the basis of a bunch of these layouts that I made for upcoming events. If I were to replicate, I could add some ribbon and emboss the starburst layers to add some dimension to it all. But it was a nice starter card to get the creative juices flowing! Do you do that too, sometimes?

Pretty Bow Tying with Cloud Cover 5/8" Textured Ribbon

When you're tying bows and knots, there's nothing like a soft wide ribbon like the Cloud Cover 5/8" Textured Ribbon. This ties like a dream. To mail a card with this thick ribbon, I would likely lie it flat and add a flat faux knot to it. Takes a little of the bulk out. Check out this video by Diane Dimich, a demonstrator in the US on how to make a flat bow.
