Technique Tuesday: February 15 - It's a One Sheet Wonder!

Do you make one card at a time or multiples? Maybe you do both? Typically I make multiples of a card as I'm sending then off to friends for swaps or preparing a set of 4 cards for a class or to play with a new stamp set. I guess I kind of work that way. So a One Sheet Wonder is a great technique to do what I do.

In the past 2 years - yes 2 years - I've been doing a lot of One Sheet Wonders with patterned paper. Mostly because anyone can grab a sheet and not need stamps and inks. But it's time friends...time to get back to more stamping in beautiful colours and textures. So hang on to your hats!

To get you started on this journey, here's a quick way to stamp several layers then cut up your sheet to make multiple cards. Tip: Take a picture after each stage of stamping so you can recreate the layouts.

And here are the staged photos so you can see how the pattern came together:

Double Chocolate Bar treat holder - Sweet Treat for Valentine's Day!

Who wouldn't want to receive two amazing chocolate bars in a cute treat holder? Let me show you how!

Creative.Inkster.Chocolate.Treat.Holder

First a shout out to my Stamping friend, Shauna Mikuliak from Moose Jaw, SK who did a youtube video on how to make this! Such an adorable idea that I had to duplicate it for my grown children!

I purchased the chocolate bars - Premium Select brand - from Food Basics (Metro has them as well) in Ontario, Canada. If you don't have that brand, just measure as shown in the video and you can make the holder to the size you need! It's that simple.

You Matter

Simply said...You Matter. To me and to everyone! I made this card on Saturday at a demonstrator online event in response to what we can an inspiration challenge. That's where the organizer posts a photograph, like this one....

And we design and post a card within a short period of time that is inspired by the image! Here's my card:
I had a few ideas percolating that included some cloudy skies and different designer series paper and am quite happy with the end result: Simple yet effective. Don't you think?

The Creative Inkster Escape Room - Feb 7, 2022

Tonight was another fun one in The Creative Inkster Escape Room! Did you miss it? No worries...you can catch the replay below.

The cards I made were inspired by a super-easy yet very impactful fun fold from my friend and team member, Lee Merner! Here's Lee's original swap card:

And here are the 4 versions I made using the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper!

These will make beautiful Team cards for my amazing demonstrators who are celebrating February Stamp-A-Versaries (that's the yearly anniversary as a demonstrator) with my team this month!

New Horizons Sketch Card

I love attending Demonstrator events. It's a chance as a demonstrator and as a leader to participate as "just a stamper"...to follow the layouts, challenges and classes someone else designed.
On Saturday Feb 5th, I attended such an event and we had a few challenges to complete during the day to be entered into the prize patrol. Who doesn't love the chance of winning a prize! I was all in.

Here's the Sketch offered up for this Challenge:

And....here's my card. I love how it all came together. It's the New Horizons paper that really made this card. I just pulled the pieces together!
