Gorgeous watercolor patterns on today's card - that front layer looks to have been stamped by me but it's the Inked Botanicals patterned paper. Did you know you can punch the octagon twice and layler it behind a single? That's using your punch to its fullest.
Beautiful delicate card that shows off the Vertical Blooms stamps set so sweetly in Lost Lagoon and Lemon Lolly. My talented Creative Ambassador Jane shared this card with us in July and I just had to get this stamp set during the 15% off sale! Friends don't let friends buy stamp sets they can't see in action!
So suitable for a birthday or celebration of any kind! The easiest way to make the circle is the line up your strips of paper with a little space in between on a piece of cardstock. Then die cut the stitched circle out. Put your acetate paper behind, mount on a card base and embellish! Thanks to Bonnie Sanche for this swap card!

Let's celebrate with cupcakes! So much better than cake...everyone gets their favourite. This super simple card says it all with bright coloured outlines, a greeting and a hint of twine. A sweet card featuring the Circle Sayings stamp set. Enjoy your day!

This is definitely in the "simple card" category! But wow - the colours make it look like so much more than that wouldn't, you agree? A pretty Lemon Lolly base with embossed layer in the same colour plus our fabulous Fresh as a Daisy patterned paper matted. I think this works for any occasion (birthday, thank you, thinking of you, sympathy, hello) especially with the double oval punch. Most of the greetings in the Layering Leaves stamp set fit on that punch so get them together. And that wavy trim...very nice touch with a few simple embellishments. Enjoy today's card!
Back with another card featuring my new favourite stamp set, Layering Leaves. I have loved the coordinating Bough Punch since it came out and I could punch with plain cardstock but being able to stamp the images and then punch them out? That's a game changer for sure! The colours here are the very dainty Bubble Bath, Berry Burst and Garden Green. What a colour combo! The greeting is from Cheerful Daisies. Such a sweet birthday card.

Images in the Inked & Tiled stamp set are muted and more watercolour in texture once inked in place. You can also two tone them by stamping the stem in one colour and the flowers in another. Here are a few tips on how to do that:
Mixing this Fresh as a Daisy paper with the Petal Park punched flowers. They're all flowers, right? Those leaves though are from the Layering Leaves stamp set that coordinates with my favourite punch, the Bough Punch. And I didn't waste a thing as I put that partial circle cut out from the Daisy paper on the inside of my card. Something you can do with any of your cast offs / left over bits: find a way to add them to the envelope or the inside (or even back) of your card. There's so much to love about this card!
Saturday morning fishing trips while camping are a great memory for me. We didn't always catch much but being out on the water and enjoying nature made it all worthwhile. Unless you were my dad who spent much of his time unhooking our snags!

I am really enjoying the Masterfully Made patterned paper for the bold colour scheme. Just brightens up any day! These dies are amazing, too: Wanted to Say. One more Shoebox Swap card designed by Brett featuring the Everyday Thanks stamp set. This is one I have overlooked so was thrilled Brett chose it for the Shoebox so we could all make one. The white embossing powder made all the difference on the band-aid images. Great choice for thanking nurses, teachers, coaches, emergency services and of course parents for putting that band-aid on! I can remember that once the band-aid was applied, my youngest Alec (as a little boy) would stop crying from the hurt. Magic! Thanks Brett for this really cute card!
I did NOT do well with Math in high school. Thankfully, Mr. James was an amazing math teacher in grade 10 and helped me stay afloat. Two years later I had not gotten better. It was relations and functions but geometry was also not a strong suit. So it's fitting that I'm sharing this creative layout idea with you. The paper trimmer was the saving grace. Sharing a slimline card made by Jane who is our Team Creative Ambassador this month! That's a program I run where my team members can opt to sign up to make 4 cards and post them on Fridays. Sometimes we get a 5th Friday in there, too! In return I provide them with the stamp set of their choice valued at up to $30 from any current publication. Jane chose Vertical Blooms which is perfect for a Slimline Card (measuring about 3.5 x 8.5 inches - everyone does them a little differently). Fits in a standard business envelope for mailing so no special envelope needed. Thanks, Jane!
Today's card was designed by Dawn for our Shoebox Swap last weekend. The Lighting the Way stamp set and dies is perfect for this time of year when we see fireflies - or as I know them - lightening bugs twinkling in the dark at night. They are actually small beetles and most definitely the cutest of the beetle family. I don't recall ever hearing them make a noise but instead have enjoyed their light show! Enjoy!

Aren't the little monkeys adorable? My friend Wendy designed this card for our Shoebox Swap last Saturday and it prompted all kinds of fun discussion: 2 monkeys or three? Punch the monkeys out of Early Espresso or Pecan Pie (or something else)? All versions of the card turned out beautifully and we had loads of fun playing with this cute stamp set. Today's card has a more sleek and masculine feel to it. I've CASEd from Jacquie Williams in New Zealand and am really thrilled with how my hand drawn lines turned out. Following Jacquie's instructions, I drew the first rectangle tracing around a retired Stitched Rectangle die then added in the other lines with my Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker (not Stampin' Blends as they would be too thick) by hand around the stamped image. Adding a splash of colour with the Real Red ribbon and linen thread for a softer feel finished it off nicely.
Oh how I remember the anticipation of our little Allistair's birth last year. Excited to be celebrating with friends who are expecting this year and so I wanted to make a card to match the baby blanket I crocheted for them instead of subtle or pastel colours. Here's what I came up with and I love the Gray Granite (vs Tuxedo Black Ink) for stamping, silver twine and rhinestone accents with Coastal Cabana and Highland Heather. I hope she loves it!
I came across this wonderful combination of products on Pinterest: using Gilded Leafing with embossing folders - oh my! It's been ages since I've used the Gilded Leafing and just had to try this out.

The left flap opens with the right side glued down at the top and bottom so you can slip a gift card or message or money even into the right flap. Bright and cheery celebration card - for any occasion - from Andra's Cards & Crafts in a recent swap. This card layout is one for the archives, crafters. Use the layout over and over with your favourite patterned papers and embossing folders. The added touch of layering the squares makes them pop right off the Basic White square. Such a pretty card!
