Have you heard of the fractured card layout? This is it! and it looks likes loads of measuring and trimming to make it all fit but there's a technique to all this.
MEASUREMENTS
Card Base: Poppy Parade 8 1/2" x 5 1/4" (you could also do in 11" x 4 1/4")
Inside Layer (optional): 4" x 5 1/4"
Inside Layer (optional): 4" x 5 1/4"
Layer 1: Basic White 4" x 5 1/4"
Layer 2: Any patterned paper 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
Centre Layer: Basic White 2 1/8" x 2 1/8" (can be plain, embossed, speciality or patterned paper)
Centre Layer: Basic White 2 1/8" x 2 1/8" (can be plain, embossed, speciality or patterned paper)
Second Centre Layer: Basic White 2" x 2" (can be plain, embossed, specialty or patterned paper)
Strips: Basic White 1/4" x 4" (cut 4)
Here's how it goes together effortlessly:
- Add Layer 1 to Layer 2.
- Place the Centre Layer in the centre over the patterned paper in a diamond shape.
- Add the 4 strips along the edges of the diamond. Trim the ends that protrude.
- Pop the Second Centre Layer up on dimensionals centred on the Centre Layer.
- Add your focal point!
