Add Texture to your Projects with Elements of Text

Love texture on a card and for this one, I stamped a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock with the Elements of Text stamp - just all over - willy nilly - no set pattern in Misty Moonlight ink. Then I die cut the inside of the butterflies shown here from that. This would work nicely with any light coloured cardstock so experiment. The same pattern from this stamp set is on the die cut circle. I like how this turned out!

Layered Thoughts with a Twist

Sharing a card we made at my June Monthly card class. Bright, bold colours in a simple layout. The Layered Thoughts stamp set is the star of the show with this really big greeting. For a twist we coloured in the open spaces on the greeting with a coordinating Melon Membo Stampin' Write Blend marker. The Eyelet embossed layer adds that special touch of dimension. Everyone loved this project!

Impressions Abloom for a spray of floral beauty

This pretty floral spray is courtesy of the Impressions Abloom Dies with loads of texture and dimension with one pass through the die cutting machine. I used Strawberry Slush, Granny Apple Green, Pecan Pie, Pretty in Pink and Basic White for my die cuts all laid on a sheet of patterned paper in Darling Duckling. Love how this turned out! What do you think?

Layered Thoughts Stamping Technique

Ever tried this? For this greeting, I stamped it once in a lighter colour - Darling Duckling - then slightly offset with a darker colour - Garden Green. Gives a great shadow effect. Then cropped with my absolutely favourite new dies, Textured Notes. Propped this up on stampin' dimensionals over a strip of these pretty flowers from the Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper. Quick, simple card for Thursday!
