Here's a simple technique with emboss powders: Emboss Resist. It works out perfectly every time! Stamp your greeting in versamark or craft ink and heat emboss with powder. I used White. Take a blending brush, sponge dauber or wedge of sponge and add ink overtop in a circular motion fading on the outside edges. Works with an image as well as with the words I used on this sample from the Elements of Text stamp set. Then I take a tissue and lightly wipe off the embossed areas so they pop out from the colour. Wondering where I got the matching ribbon from? I used a Stampin' Blend (alcohol marker) to colour the White Woven ribbon, let it dry and tied it around.
