Sweet Jar Bundle of Sweets

Sharing some sweetness in the form of the Sweet Jar Stamp Set and Punch Bundle. Did you catch that? A punch bundle! So many possibilities for everything you want to include in these cute jars. The lid is a separate part of the punch. Here I have flowers with the jar standing up, but imagine candies rolling out by laying it on its side, fireflies inside, stamped greetings... oh so much fun to be had. Get creative with this one!

Bloom where you're planted and relish in what brings you joy!

I've made a lot of changes to my garden and landscape around the house this year. And, I'm not a gardener. My creativity tends to "bloom" elsewhere if you know what I mean. Together with a local young entrepreneur starting out in the landscaping business, great friends with vast knowledge on the subject and help from a special friend and my daughter this year, the garden is looking pretty nice! We all need to bloom where we're planted, right? Relish in what brings you joy.

Seriously the best!

A fantastic thank you or congratulations card in neutrals and earth tones. Fairly simple design that works over and over again by changing up the image in the centre. This one features the Textured Notes bundle in the Online Exclusives section of our website. It's a Suite Collection, too, so qualifies for this month's promotion of Buy One Get One 50% off. Sweet deal! The Textured Notes dies are each a little different design but work wonderfully together as layers. To get the most out of a sheet of patterned paper, I cut the weave paper to 4" x 4" giving me 12 pieces from the sheet. Thanks for stopping by!

Emboss Resists like a Pro!

Here's a simple technique with emboss powders: Emboss Resist. It works out perfectly every time! Stamp your greeting in versamark or craft ink and heat emboss with powder. I used White. Take a blending brush, sponge dauber or wedge of sponge and add ink overtop in a circular motion fading on the outside edges. Works with an image as well as with the words I used on this sample from the Elements of Text stamp set. Then I take a tissue and lightly wipe off the embossed areas so they pop out from the colour. Wondering where I got the matching ribbon from? I used a Stampin' Blend (alcohol marker) to colour the White Woven ribbon, let it dry and tied it around. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Simply Said with Florals in Bloom

One of the June Monthly card class creations from last night. They loved it! The die is so intricate that you will want to use adhesive sheet on the cardstock before cutting out so your adhesive doesn't squish everywhere. These colours are just so cheery: Petunia Pop, Bubble Bath and Garden Green. I added a small strip of embossed cardstock to the left for interest. Happy how it turned out!

Z-Fold Fun Fold with a Twist

Holy fold out fun fold card - and what a great one to show off on your table or mantle. Do people still have mantels? I do - over the fireplace. I like to display some cards on there. This one has lots of panels on which to write messages, show off coordinating die cuts like these pretty flowers and add some stamping or embellishments. Thanks to my Silver Sister Cindy for this amazing layout.

Back to my roots in papercrafting with Scrapbooking

Tried my hand at scrapbooking by following a layout shared from pagemaps.com (seriously....check THAT resource out for your memory keeping) and great direction by my friend Lisa Henderson. Tell me...when you scrapbook do you do layouts then add your photos or bild your pages around the photos? The former is my preferred way....I get a lot more done quickly that way!

A Sweet Jar Birthday using Azure Afternoon

From the I-rarely-use-this-ink department, I bring you a birthday card using the Sweet Jar Stamp Set and Punch Bundle. The colour is....Azure Afternoon. It's bright and bold and goes so well with other colours like Daffodil Delight and the returned In Color Strawberry Slush, but it's just not a go-to for me. How do you think I did pairing it up on this card? Lining up the candles within the stamp jar image was easily attained because this is a photopolymer stamp. I'd seen this backdrop using embossing layers on Pinterest and liked how that pulled all the bright colours together. I grabbed the hardly used Rainbow Dots to adorn this happy card.

A first play with the Grow With Love Bundle

Playing with the Grow with Love stamp set coming complete with 4 different herbs. I was going with a mostly monochromatic layer in a collage stamping pattern. Took a little practice but happy with the result I'm sharing with you today. My tip for this is to do a lot of stamping off so that the images - while clustered - don't just make a dark mess. Makes a great thinking of you card as a simple greeting to the top right with a bow and a few matte dot embellies.

Stunning Wedding Card featuring the Beautiful Gallery Suite

Today's card was designed by Shauna Mikuliak and the layout taught last weekend at SSS Super Team. The colours are stunning, right? This Beautiful Gallery patterned paper is stunning...truly...I have 3 packs. This is my first time using the huge peony floral image in Secret Sea, Cloud Cover and Basic White though. The Suite comes with this gorgeous embossing folder called Damask Designs that you see on the very front panel. I think this is my new go-to wedding and anniversary card. Fabulous!

Create a Fault Line Technique Card using Gallery Blooms and Season of Elegance Speciality DSP

Have you tried a Fault Line card yet? My first time trying it and I'm pretty happy with the outcome! My friend Glenda Mollet taught us all how to make this last weekend. If you're using Gold Foil like I did, here's my tip: tear the paper away from you (not towards you) so that the inside core is on the hidden part. Of course, I learned this the "trial and error" way LOL. It sure makes a neat layout and creates a great backdrop onto which to place a big stamp like this peony. They remind me of the ones soon to be popping in my backyard.

Window Sheet Pop Up Card featuring Florals in Bloom Suite

Here's my card from the SSS Super Team event this past weekend. I've posted a similar one a wee bit ago. With this one, I embossed the "let joy" sentiment and added some stamped images to the centre circle. Can you see the window sheet as the front of the card? The back is one panel and between the DSP layer and the Window Sheet, I've got a little mechanism to pop it out and allow it to stand on its own. I could make oodles of these...so quick and simple with packing a wow. Enjoy!

Double Diamond Gatefold Card Layout with Delightful Wishes

Here's my take on Tamara Bertram's card from our SSS Super Team Event this past weekend where I highlighted the products from Delightful Wishes with this fun folder we're calling Double Diamond Gate Fold. It's looks very complicated...believe me that was my first thought...but with expert directions this turned out to be very easy to put together. Sure helps use up my always growing supply of patterned paper. I think I have a problem with that. How about you?

White Craft Ink Technique featuring Gallery Blooms

On Saturday, I learned a new technique using White Craft ink and painting it over a stamped image taught by my friend, Diane Hutchinson of Crafts by the Bow. Doesn't this card look amazing with that touch of white ink? We used blender pens to pick up the ink and oh I love the result. It's good to try something new and break out of your go-to techniques and layouts. Thrilled with the result!

Let Joy Bloom with Sweet Blooms

Sharing a multi-layer joy fold card with white ribbon to tie it closed and add some softness to the rectangular layers. I didn't want to cover up all the pretty patterned paper but I think the colours show through all those White and Timid Tiger layers. I love the Sweet Blooms Bundle with die cuts of the woods "bloom" and "lovely". Let Joy Bloom is perfect any time of year! Let me know in the comments what you like about this one.
