From the Celebratory Sips Suite, there's this stinkin' amazing patterned paper for parties, holidays and celebrations. Aptly named, I'd say then! This pattern has varied sizes of images, fruit and patterns to hand cut out or use the coordinating dies from the Suite. All it needed was an embossed greeting and some of the Neutrals Matte Dots to finish it off. Great card!
Been playing with the new Sweet Jar Stamp Set & Punch Bundle and this is my first card! It's an adorable jar with images that fit inside. The lid and jar are two separate pieces of the punched shape for loads of versatility! Here I used Fresh Freesia and Smoky Slate with Basic White as my colour palette and really like the result. This is one I'll use over and over again as single jars, and multiples on cards, for treat holders and even in memory keeping. Love the possibilities!
Today's card features the lesser used stamps in the Blooming Phrases stamp set. This set has lovely script font which are the star of the show, so I thought I'd show off the flowers using our new In Colors for 2025-2027: Darling Duckling, Strawberry Slush and Timid Tiger. Don't let that Timid Tiger scare you, friends...it's NOT a dark orange Pumpkin Pie colour but softer. More like a darker tone of Peach Pie. I was pleasantly surprised! So back to the card...I popped these on with some green stems made from the swirly tails on the greetings and the tiny leaf stamp included in the set. Too boring to just put on a layer so opted for a die cut. Let me know what you think in the comments.
Where does this large greeting come from? Could it be stamped - or could it be pre-printed? It's a stamp from the Layered Thoughts set. After stamping it in Memento Ink onto Basic White, I used the Darling Duckling Stampin' Write Marker to add colour in the open white areas of the words. Really makes it pop, right?! The pretty patterned paper on the back is the new Floral Impressions patterned paper all on a Strawberry Slush card base. Super quick and simple birthday card.
I enjoy being in swap groups when a new catalogue comes our for a couple of reasons: a) it gets me started using new products in new ways and b) I get lots of gorgeous designs using other products I haven't got in my stash yet! Here was my swap card for a recent group using the Beautiful Motifs bundle and coordinating paper. These dies are unique: they don't fully cut out the outline so you get this great dimensional look on a layer with the matte colour showing through as you pop up the edges. Also featuring a new In Color on this card called Cloud Cover. A little Balmy Blue mixed with Smoky Slate. Beautiful shade!
When I attended OnStage in March in North Carolina, we got to pick one bundle of two for the extra break out classes and I'm just thrilled I chose this one: Impressions Abloom! The lovely large oval die and so many floral dies with embossed sections really made putting this one together easy. You've seen the Mini Corrugated embossing folder in action here and on the internet, so I'm thrilled to share that you don't just have to layer it in a straight up and down manner. Try putting it on an angle like this for another look. The colours I chose are Pool Party, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Basic White.
THIS. Oh isn't it pretty? Paper is Lovely Garden and if you get any patterned paper this spring, don't imss out on this one. Two full 12 x 12 sheets to hand cut (or die cut) large pretty images out. This returning favourite stamp set, "With You in Mind" has large images covering variety of occasions. I incorporated the Plaster Painting 3D embossing folder on both the layer and the inset hexagon. Love, love, love how it all came together!
Check out the Celebratory Sips Suite on our Online Exclusives and the cutest card you can make with the stamps and patterned paper in a snap. I took a piece of 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White and randomly stamped the lemons in two colours (Darling Duckling and Granny Apple Green) with the cherry in between in Strawberry Slush. Cut that up into 3/4" x 4" strips and spaced them out on the card, making my own patterned paper layer. The glass with sprig of mint is from the coordinating patterned paper. Just cut it out. Love this one!
Don't you love FREE stuff? I really do...especially free stamping supplies! I won the Along These Lines stamp set at OnStage in March and this is my first card with it. There are 11 stamps in the set so a great value at any price. But better free, right? I love this card for a new stamper class: a 2" strip down the side of a cardbase, simple layered stamped image and a greeting from the Simply Said stamp set. Enjoy!

There's always something to celebrate whatever the season or occasion! Looking for a fun fold card? Think about the Beautiful Butterflies bundle with a butterfly die cut card fold included as the white layer on today's card. There are two other large layering butterflies in the bundle that I've added in two complimentary shades of pink: Petunia Pop and Pretty in Pink. Not shown, but there's a large white butterfly on the inside to write the message on. Such a sweet fun fold!
We've had a gorgeous burst of colour this spring as the tulips, crocus, daffodils have adorned the gardens and paths. When I drop my son off at work the stunning array of colour that greets me from the hospital on Delhi Street is sure to start my day off great!
Going for a very earthy toned card here as I created with these colours: Pecan Pie and Mossy Meadow. We have a new embossing folder out that does this fab corrugated box look! When you get yours, here's a tip: spritz your cardstock with some water (we sell spritzers, too!) before you emboss. It won't hurt your folder...trust me. But it will make the paper more pliable and less likely to crack when you fun it through the emboss machine. The reason: there's a lot of wear on the paper being compressed through the waffles of the folder and it can easily go right through. After spritzing it will dry in no time and you can add it to your project.
Made this with the Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid bundle. The die that cuts your large butterfly out of the cardbase for a fun and unique shape! You don't find those at the card store. There are additional butterfly dies that layer onto it to give round out the card front. I used several shades of blue to colour in this pretty patterened creature. The total the card measures 5.5 inches wide by 3.5 inches tall fitting perfectly into our medium envelopes. Enjoyed making this one!
It's always fun playing with new colours and coordinating patterned paper. This card is all about the Secret Sea In Color in the patterned paper, cardstock and ink. Yes that's the same dark colour only I stamped it off once for the flower stems to soften it a little. For the flower, I used Peach Pie: stamped off once for the base of the flower and then full strength for the inside lines. A great way to get more colour tones out of one ink pad.
I don't often take my blending brushes out for a spin, but that's exactly what I was inspired to do for this card! All the work gets done before the embossing:

This is a bit of an unusual card made with a see-through piece of plastic from our window sheets. I use those sheets often for boxes and see-through elements on a card. This is one whole layer! There's a little fold piece in between it and the patterned paper which creates the mechanism allowing the window sheet layer to pop open. The video showing how to do this will post on my YT channel in a few weeks. I love the look of this unique card and how it stands beautifully on the mantle in all its glory!
Here's a "Jane made it" card from last week's Stampin' Social swaps! This is an interactive card where you pull the little circle tab up from the top to reveal a message. The flowers are just the right pop of colour which she expertly coloured using our Stampin' Blends to achieve the varigated look. I love this card! Thanks, Jane.
What do you think of this card: Is it ribbon or is it paper? What we've got here is the Faux Ribbon Technique using your cast off strips of patterned paper. I featured this on the Global Inspiration Stamp Team's New Catalogue / New In Colors weekend and it was a hit. They also like the idea of two die cuts slightly offset from each other as the embellishment. I think the star of the show is the Damask Designs embossing folder background. I was thrilled to see the Beautiful Butterflies bundle will be available in on Online Exclusives section after May 5. We made this card at my Avid Stampers class last week with this Angled Tri-Fold layout. The measurements were a bit tricky but well worth it! It sports an embossed belly band wrap around in simple white with coordinating ink and embellishments. Loved this one!
Card for my Team's Stampin' Social this week featuring all new product, the Sweet Blooms bundle and coodinating patterned paper. This one of those card layouts to have on hand when the creative juices aren't flowing! Cut your patterned paper to 1" x 3" and add them to an embossed layer. Pop a greeting on top - whether a die cut as I've used here from the bundle - or one that is die cut, hand cut or punched out. Easy-peasy!
My season for reading is coming up...I do most of my reading in the summer while relaxing in my backyard oasis. I hope to get into a few good mysteries this year and this card helps put me in the mood! We'll be making this at my May monthly card class in both my home studio and at the Breslau Community Centre. A fun way to add smaller stamps to your project! Punch or die cut holes in a layer and stamp the tinier images through. These cute cupcakes and the large greeting come from the With You in Mind stamp set. I love how the cupcakes are also embossed with clear powder. And to get coordinating ribbon, colour (and let dry) your white or vanilla ribbon with an alcohol based marker like Stampin' Blends. Happy Monday!
Cone flowers come in all colours which makes add a stamped one and colouring it in a breeze for us non-gardeners! I like the simplicity of this one image as a focal point on this card with a checkered background. A seldom used colour for me, Melon Mambo, is a nice compliement to all two greens: Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. I can see nice set of notecards using pinks, yellows, reds and purples. Hope your garden is starting to sprout beautiful colours!
Have you tried two-step stamping? A great way to add multiple colours to the same stamp by layering up the images. I'll bet if you check your stamp collection you'll see that many are two-step or multi-step stamping. This card is from my bestie Tamara Bertram in Edmonton for the recent Mini Swap. The eyelet embossing folder really sets the stage for the feel of this card with strips of coordinating patterned paper behind a circle (Spotlight on Nature). The star of the show is the two step stamping technique for the flowers - anyone know what flowers these are? And some natural linen thread to finish it off with gems. I CASE'd this one using other colours ad paper. It's a keeper layout!
A project from my monthly Quick & Simple card class at the Breslau Community Centre. This one's perfect for the beginner stamper with a piece of patterned paper on a simple white card base then a stamped layer (Gorgeous Grape ink on matching cardstock), a greeting and pop of colour with the Daffodil Delight cone flower stamped and hand cut out. Well now we demonstrators LOVE IT when a paper pack carries over into a new catalogue. Why? Because we have lots ot play with and want to share it with everyone! This is the Thoughtful Journey scene paper with muted watercolor images that make the perfect backdrop to a card. All I added was some of the lovely 1.5 inch gold open weave trim, a greeting and butterfly for accent. This was so pretty I decided we'd use it at April's Monthly Card class.
The new online exclusive Grow with Love Bundle has these pretty images of herbs along with the name at the bottom: Basil, Rosemary, Thyme and Mint. Great for the gardener on your list but wouldn't they also make a sweet set of note cards for everyday use? Jane made this for our team meeting swap in April adding the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder and strips (likely those pesky left over pieces we all have!) to make a fine background on the cardbase. Love it!

This one's totally outside my usual colour palettee with Azure Afternoon as the main colour! How did I get that coordinating ribbon? Grabbed my Stampin' Blend also in Azure (it's probably never been used) and ran it along both sides of my white ribbon. A few tips when adding alcohol based markers to ribbons: a) use a cotton based ribbon so it doesn't rub off, b) add the colour in broad strokes for evenness and c) you'll find the ribbon becomes stiffer and easier to tie in a bow that stays. The greeting on this card is from the Wanted to Say Dies which are on the last chance list at 10% off while supplies last. You'll use them...trust me on that!

Growing up we did a lot of camping...from tents to trailers across both Canada and along the eastern seaboard through winter and summer months. Great family adventures and exploring new places. Here's my swap card from our Team Stampin' Social featuring the Lovely & Sweet Stamp Set and Die bundle and coordinating Nature's Sweetness Specialty DSP. I added Petal Pink ink with a blending brush over the gold-flecked words to add some texture between that layer and the popped up leave in gold. Added some leaves in Pretty Peacock and flowers in Petal Pink with the perfect vertical greeting. Enjoy!
