The Christmas Tags and More kit was a life saver for making lots of holiday cards this year. The patterns were great as is or embossed as I have done on this card then oh the many die cut pieces made pulling it all together so simple. No stamping on this one witih a die cut sentiment, but there is a little "ink" on the iridescent pearls to match up with the holly berries. Hope you're still enjoying the holidays!

There's something truly magical - whether you believe or not - about 6pm on December 24. The world quiets down, there may be snow on the ground, holiday lights or twinkling, stores close and we settle in for Christmas Eve. Some head off to church services, others for a walk (or drive) to "see the lights" and others hunker down for quiet winter's night. May you find peace, jooy and love in the coming days as you gather with friends and family.
This past weekend I attended a Candelight Concert featurng a quartet of fabulous musicians (cello,viola and 2 violins) with my friend Sandra. A clean and simple card for today using the Christmas words collage folder as an actual embossing folder instead of die cutting out the words this time! I don't mind that the words and in dfferent directions - it adds a more eclectic feel to this holiday card. Enjoy!
This embossing folder, Traditional Wreath 3D, has been a real hit this crafting season. It's a full 6" x 6" and works equally well on a standard card base of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Interestingly, I think I've done it more in white and red than greens! Makes a perfect backdrop layer. More of the Elegant Pine Snowflakes paper for a contrast against the Cherry Cobbler. One more item to add to your shopping list before it sells out!
Beautiful elegant card with just a few elements making it a favourite layout of mine. The recipe for this one includes: a card base, a patterned paper layer, a greeting, small focal point die cut and soft ribbon for texture and dimension. One week tonight is Christmas Eve wth all the mystery and excitement of the "eve" of the big day! Do you open gifts on Dec 24th or keep all the festivities for Christmas Day? I see a trend where families have a Christmas Eve box to open with new PJs, a book and maybe a little treat. Nice tradition! This Elegant Pine Snowflakes patterned paper is beautiful to work with for cards, scrapbooking, treat holders, all your paper crafting creations. The patterns are small enough to fit on any layer widths and there is no obvious up and down so will work with those 3D projects. Added the Jar of Joy onto a small banner as the focal point. Enjoy!

Did you get the Christmas Words Hybrid embossing folder? Oh I hope you did because it will make turning out Christmas cards so easy. Today's card is one I made using a One Sheet Wonder layout from a 6" x 6" patterned paper. The three pieces measure 3" x 1 1/2" layered over an embossed panel. Such pretty poinsettias.
Made a gosh darn load of these cards for my holiday greetings at work. Helps use up some patterned paper because otherwise you know I'll just be hoarding it. Any embossing folder of your choice that compliments the paper is a great choice. For the greetings I used the now retired Christmas Words Collage embossing folder which cut out 20 individual greetings. Happy Friday!
Sharing this quick card highlighting the North Pole Delivery Suite. Stamped the background with Pool Party ink onto Pool Party cardstock for a watermark look, added a rectangle in Secret Sea and the die cuts from the patterned paper pack. And just like that - another card goes in the mail!
I saw this design on pinterest and was drawn to recreate it! Uses the arched line stamp from Ornamental Christmas and how I got the lines to "line up" with the die cut tree, was I just laid the tree down first and stamped with Versamark then lifted the tree just before heat embossing. Then I had the lines on the tree as a guideline for stamping the Secret Sea ink over top. Simple yet elegant. Happy Holidays!

Seen a zebra lately? Been a while since I've been to the zoo for sure. Getting a "fix" creating with the Silly Safari bundle. Two ink pads and some Coastal Cabana cardstock wth back and white brings this card to life. Enjoy!
Have you seen the Northern Lights? Every once in a while - often in the summer - we are encouraged to get out of the city and look for signs. Not nearly as prominent and beautiful here in town in Southern Ontario but up north there's a very good chance of seeing them. This card is close! It's from the Lights of Aurora Suite Collection. The treeline is phenomenal in black to compliment the gorgeous paper and leaves a good space at the bottom for an embossed greeting. I made this card at the Shoebox Swap last weekend - what fun! \
This card went together beautifully with silver stars, Misty Moonlight and a white dove all from the Peaceful Garden Suite. This suite has greetings well beyond the holidays with sympathy and all occasion sentiments. Highly recommend this one for a huge variety of cards. Enjoy!

Quick and simple card with a twist! Cut up your square of patterned paper and reassemble on top of a matte piece of matching cardstock. Having the colour peek through is a beautiful way to show it off. We added a greeting and rhinestones coloured with Peach Pie Stampin' Blends. Loved making this card in our Shoebox Swap last Saturday evening.
Finally got to playing with the Turtle-y Cute patterned paper for my swap cards at the recent demo event. I had 15 of these cuties and handed them all out! The paper has several images of turtles perfect for birthdays and all occasions. I used the extremely versatile Everyday Arches to cut out the turtle instead of the coordinating dies this time. Multi-layer cards (this one has 7 including the cardbase) really pack a wow!
At the Mississauga stamping event, I was able to hang out with my friend Lisa Henderson from Kingston area. Her swap card is this amazing fun fold gift card holder. Made this simple yet elegant card with the Elmira District Community Living group last week. One of 5 cards each participant made. The dove is a beautiful symbol of peace, hope, love and joy. I paired it with Coastal Cabana (at Christmas? I know...right?!?!) on white with a Misty Moonlight cardbase. They loved it and I hope you will, too!
What could be more fun than this jar of cheer? Thanks to Stacey for designing and sharing how to make this delightful card featuring the Jar of Joy stamp set and coordinating Jar Builder Punch. In this stamp set there are several images to pop into the jar making it a great choice for cards, tags, wrapping paper, scrapbooking and more! This reminds me of a snowglobe.
What a stunning statement this large snowflake makes on a holiday card! Jane designed and shared this at the November Shoebox Swap day showing us how to use two-step stamping (three actually!) with adding various elements of the snowflake in Old Olive and Shaded Spruce. Wow - just wow! The background layer is coordinating patterned paper with a hint of Cherry Cobbler berries here and there. Great card!

Holly designed today's card for us to make at the November Shoebox Swap and WOW - so elegant. I love everything about it from black and white with gold accents, the gold hoop and star die cut. It really packs a lot into one creation. The greeting comes from the Greetings for You Ephemera pack. These are all stamped and die cut out for you ready to add to a project. A super cute way to use both of the Gingerbread figures that cut out from the Gingerbread Man dies! My team member Dawn designed these great projects for our November Shoebox Swap. One we used on a card and the other as the front of a treat holder. One more with the adorable Fluffy Squirrel stamp set and punch bundle inspired to share today as the snow is gone, the leaves are gone and it's still looking quick "fall-ish" out there! They continue to "squirrel away" their stash for the winter dashing among the fallen branches and leaves that are to be picked up in the coming weeks. I do love the fall colours and will miss their splendour. Grateful to live where we see 4 seasons. Happy Monday!

A completely no stamping card anyone can make! The Christmas Tags and More patterned paper pack has 8 sheets of 4 different patterns and this is one of them with the ornaments printed out. For the greeting, I used a new favourite Christmas Words Collage Hybrid embossing folder that cuts AND embosses in one pass through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine (also fits other brands). The folder is 6" x 6" and comes with 20 different greetings in one pass. Great value!
Cute, cute, cute! The Sweet Jar bundle has a Christmas version with adorable images and greetings for the holidays. These would be great tags for homemade treats, Christmas crackers or treats at the table. For today I've included them on a card witihi a few layers of patterned paper to make it stand out. Puts me in the mood to bake!
A Christmas card design for December monthly card class. The colour palette is Real Red, Bubblebath, Pool Party and Old Olive with gold accents. Even the ribbon has some sparkly to it. Remember to make your ribbon go further, cut a piece that fits across the front and tack it at the back with glue dots or Stampin' Dimensionals.
These stitched arches make a statement on the front of a card. For this one I layered 3 together on a square card with the pear accent on coordinating patterned paper. A neat effect and it all fits into a standard envelope. Enjoy!
The Branching Out dies are a game changer - and time saver - for this layout. In the past, I'd cut separate layers out for the Old Olive and the DSP. Not anymore! One layer of Old Olive cardstock cut at 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" uses 2 of these amazing dies and one layer of patterned paper cut at 4" x 5 1/4" with 2 other of the dies chopped out of its centre. Layers up like a dream!
Today's card is perfect as a birthday or Christmas card. I chose to go with an embossed greeting from Simply Said - a stamp set with ten everyday greetings that I use all the time! If you don't have it - I highly recommend it. The embossing folder is called Peaceful Greenery and has a blank space in the middle for a greeting or cover it up with your favourite patterned paper or a die cut as shown here. I love the gold accents and know just who is going to get this card in December!
Last night I met with a new group of stampers to make Christmas and Birthday cards. Here's the first design featuring the Modern Christmas Suite brimming with charm and elegance in black, white and gold. The greeting fit perfectlly on the ornament die cut and it had to be embossed with gold powder to compliment. This card comes together very quickly using the various patterns in the paper pack. Add your fave greeting - or pick up the coordinating Jolly Delivery stamp set and die bundle to make oodles of cards. The paper is perfect for whimsical cards and gift tags.
I love the detail on the acorn die cuts shown on this card from my October Avid Stampers Class. The branches and sprigs also add a lot of dimension and texture. To make the berries on the end of the Pecan Pie sprigs really stand out, colour in with the Dark Red or Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blend. I created a frame around that layer using two of the Branching Out rectangular dies alternatively layer your patterned paper on top. This card is a showstopper or depth!
