Have you seen our Dotted Circles embossing folder? It goes so well together with various circle dies like Spotlight on Nature. For this card, it's a simple gatefold which is normally in the portrait position with the gatefold panels opening left and right. Turned it on its side this time and there's a slider mechanism for that circle to be removed and reveal the message inside. These flowers are beautiful in any colour palette. Happy Monday!

Triple Panel Birthday Card with Spotlight on Nature
We made this card at my Avid Stampers class featuring the Spotlight on Nature bundle. This one really shows of the Pretty in Pink paper and ribbon against a Pretty Peacock ink and circle for a more summery look. I need to make this in fall colours, don't you think? What shall we go with: Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler, Granny Apple Green for more of a bright shade of green? Yes, I think that's the ticket! You may notice the two outside panels of the stamped leaves are slightly larger than the centre one. By design, friends! Rather than work out weird 1/16 inch marks, I cut the outsides at the same width with the centre as the left over piece. Your simple crafting tip for today.

Regal Winter Elegant Birthday Card
Sweet birthday wishes with a gorgeous pop of autumn colours! Remember I mentioned our products in the Sep-Dec mini extend well beyond holiday crafting earlier this week? This is another great example with the Regal Winter patterned paper. The colours are so vibrant with the range of yellow, pink, green, red and dash of purple in there. Anyone receiving this birthday card will be delighted. Enjoy the layout!

Humble Home Screen Card
Just love a 3D project so when I can incorporate that into a card, I'm in my happy place! This is a screen card, based on the same design as the one I posted on Sep 17, but with a twist! I added vellum cardstock for the panels by die cutting our segments with my Deckled Rectangles Dies. Then I used that cute Humble Home Builder Punch as the mattes for my letters. In the centre of the "O" segment I can interchange throughout this holiday season with a mini element. Too many stamp sets and dies used to list here, but trust me when I say, it was a great use of my Sep-Dec mini catalogue products! The letters are from Alphabet a la Mode. I love this project so much I have one at my desk and one on display in my craft studio.

Humble Home neighbour greetings
Some of our products in the September to December Mini Catalogue are great additions beyond holiday crafting. I feel the Humble Home bundle is one of those! I made this card to thank some neighbours for a recent gift and thought it perfect for welcoming someone to the community as well. Even "across the miles" for sending happy greetings. This is a stamp set and punch bundle that I've used for a bunch of 3D projects as well so check back often here to see how they can be incorporated in decorative pieces to put on display.

Sweet Pea Baby Card
Final adorable Sweet Peas card from my friend and team member, Stacey. Add a decorative edge to you card by stamping the right (open) side and die cutting along the edge. Then add a strip of about 1/2" or 3/4" paper to the inside of your card base to accent it nicely. These little gaffers are adorable. This is a stamp set you may not have thought you needed....but look how great this would be for a baby card!

Season of Greenery Holiday Card
This Season of Greenery paper is perfect for fall and holiday crafting. Gorgeous gold accents on every sheet plus it's double-sided with leaf patterns on the flip side. The iridescent ribbon I paired with it picks up the green undertones for a wonderful accent. An embossed greeting matted onto coordinating cardstock is all this card needs for that elegant touch.

Kick up your card layers with embossing featuring Exposed Brick and the Sophisticated Sled Bundle
When designing for my monthly card class, I look for ways to step up a card in a simple way. Your best best: an embossing folder! Embossed layers add a level of charm and texture to your creations. I used the Exposed Brick on both pieces here and love the look. Did you see that matching bow? Easily done by colouring my linen thread with the coordinating Blackberry Bliss stampin' blend alcohol marker. Get started with a few standard colours of Blends (blue, green, pink, red) and you'll be on your way to coordinating all your embellishments to your project!

Simple Layout featuring Mediterranean Blooms
I love the ease with which today's card came together for my September Team Tutorial. This month I featured 4 cards using Mediterranean Blooms with vibrant blues, lemon, peach, pumpkin and greens. I stamped the large image as a background with a few flowers around the sides then added some die cut leaves and strips of the coordinating Mediterranean Blooms patterned paper. Makes a pretty all occasion type card. Enjoy!

Getting ready for Christmas: Hang an Ornament Bundle
From our Sep-Dec Mini Catalogue, I'm sharing a really easy Christmas Card you can make multiples of very quickly! Use any embossing folder on the front layer - I used the very classic Forever Plaid - and then the Hang an Ornament bundle. Those cute hangers and caps in gold foil and the pretty hanging ornaments in Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler. Have you started your Christmas Cards yet?

Autumn Expressions Spotlight Card
As the days get shorter and summer flowers fade away, we are still blessed with these beauties to enjoy through the early part of fall. The frame I put on this card in black makes a little purse shape which I'm still playing with to figure out...although I really like the frame it makes to spotlight the centre of my card! The Wild Wheat ribbons really looks like gold so a great bolt to invest in for year round and Christmas projects using gold tones. There are some twill leaves attached, too, for a bit of different texture on today's creation. Have a great day!

Sentimenal Christmas wishes insupport of a good cause!
So this was fun....a Screen Card! A lovely choice for sending to someone who will display on a mantle or table for a time. I made this Christmas version using the Sentimental Christmas paper from our Mini catalogue. For every purchase of this traditional holiday paper, Stampin' Up! will donate $4 to programs for literacy making it a good cause choice, too. The house image is from Humble Home and has a coordinating punch. Get yours!

Pretty Mosaic Patterns with the Mediterranean Blooms Suite
This card came together quite quickly thanks to all the coordinating products in the Mediterranean Bloom Suite Collection. Fresh mosaic patterns in blues and white used on the background and then die cutting the orange out with the coordinating dies cut the time out of stamping, colouring and die cutting. A little stampng for the greetng and some green leaves as an added touch and bam - done! Enjoy!

Way to go, Sweet Pea!
With the start of the school year, activities, clubs and sports, the kiddos will be launching into new hobbies and athletic pursuits. Even my little grandson Allistair is going to be starting gymnastics for toddlers. What fun! Before too long they'll be mastering their skills and "way to go" all of you on your new skills. Today's card was designed by my friend and teammate, Stacey, showing the Sweet Pea stamp set in bright bold colours. Thanks, Stacey!

Take a Bird's Eye View of the situation
Look at the size of these flighty friends on a card. So darn cute. This is the "sleeper" set in our Annual catalogue called Bird's Eye View. Perfect for colouring in if you like to so so with whatever markers, watercolor pencils, medium you please. I used our Stampin' Blends in Lemon Lolly and Pool Party. No dies, so I hand cut these darlings out.

Advent Calendar 2024 featuring Hang an Ornament
Sharing one of my 3D projects from the Global Inspiration Stamp Team Twelve Days of the Holidays! This Advent Calendar fits on a 12" x 12" piece of patterned paper and each ornament opens to reveal a message inside. I used the new Hang an Ornament stamp set and die bundle ($41.25) and sure got my money's worth on that investment. It's so satisfying making projects beyond a card with my stamps and tools. I love how it turned out!

Change Can Be Beautiful
Autumn is a season of change...from the kids going back to school, parents back to routines and even retired persons starting new activities. You just feel it in the air, right? Today's card is a reminder that Change can be Beautiful. A time for peaceful reflection on where one is going and new things we want to try or stop trying to do.

Punch or Die? With Keeping Tabs, it's your choice!
Did you know? Some of our bundles come with a punch OR a die for the cut out? So it is with the Keeping Tabs stamp set. You may choose a die for the fold over tab or a punch. Personally, I prefer the punch but if you're on a budget, get the die at half the price. The stamp set is great for tabs on notebooks, bullet journals, scrapbook pages or as an index for your finished cards. I've paired it with some pretty Mediterranean Blooms paper on today's card with the sympathy greeting. Lots of ways to create! Which do you prefer - the idea of the punch or the die?

Blueberry Bunches paired with the Fern 3D embossing folder
While playing with the Blueberry Bunches stamp set, I saw a real connection to the Fern 3D embossing folder and felt they could go very nicely together on a card. The stamping and its matte in Azure are die cut from the Deckled Rectangles dies which are a great addition to my stash. I love how they are a perfect propotional size to card bases and layers. They are just a little "off" on the patterned edges to give the card some interest. Tossed in a circle from Spotlight on Nature for a different shape on the greeting - just because. Hope you like this one!

Mirror Image Technique with Spotlight on Nature
I saw someone post a cardusing the "half-butterfly" image from the Spotlight on Nature stamp set as a full butterfly and I was like, "how did they do that?" Played a little with my silicone craft mat for the mirroring technique: First, I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto the craft mat. Then I picked the image up onto white cardstock. Finished by stamping the half butterfly again right beside it - joining the bodies in the middle - and came up with a full butterfly! Magic, right? I thought so...

Silhouetted Ducks from Charming Duck Pond
Making this card next week at my monthly Team Stampin' Social. We'll be practicing our blending skills making the three-tone background behind the silhouette ducks. How you ask? Blending brushes and inks. Keep layering in various colours to achieve the desired shading. We'll be using blues, pinks and yellows. For a more rustic feel, I've opted for the Timber 3D embossing folder layer in Lemon Lolly cardstock. Products from the Lily Pond Lane Suite. Enjoy!
