Love this card designed by Jane for the Shoebox Swap last weekend! The patterns remind me of tye-die shirts and that just bring warm happy feelings. The rosette in the centre and greeting come from the Round We Go stamp and die bundle. You cut out two strips of the rosette die and choose whether you would like the pointed or scalloped edge showing (I used scralloped). I'd recommend using tear and tape to seal the ends together after folding accordion style. This takes 3D cards to a new level for that very special person in your life from 1 to 99! Thanks so much, Jane, for this cheerful rainbow of a card.

Fall Birthday Card featuring the Encircled in Nature Bundle
Excited to share this fall themed birthday card from Holly for our Shoebox Swap! Warm Copper Clay ink, embellishments and cardstock together with Mossy Meadow cardstock and the NEW Basic Beige. Doesn't this just make you want to run out and grab a fall beverage like Apple Cider or Pumpkin Latte? Oh so warm and cozy! The star of this card is the Encircled in Nature Stamp Set and Die bundle. A tip for adhering the wreath and leaves in a snap is using a double-sided Adhesive Sheet on the back before die cutting. Thanks for designing this stunner of a card for us, Holly!

Wildflower Designs Bundle Gift Card Holder / Fun Fold Card
My daughter Michelle on our team designed today's card for our Shoebox Swap featuring the Wildflower Designs bundle for the 3 layer label in Basic White, Grapefruit Grove (retired) and Pecan Pie. How do you get Black Matte dots once they're retired? Colour your regular pearls or rhinestones (or any embellishment you have) with the Basic Black stampin' blends. One other feature of this card is you can glue down the left and right sides of the bottom panel for a quick gift card holder. Thanks, Michelle for designing this beautiful fun fold card for us to make!

Translucent Florals with eye-popping Stampin' Blends Colours
Do you even recognize these flowers? Amazing card by Dawn for the Shoebox last weekend featuring Translucent Florals on vellum cardstock. Take your favourite Stampin' Blend colours and ink up your vellum. Die cut the flowers out for this stunning look. We used Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Balmy Blue. Thanks so much, Dawn for this stunning card!

Spotlight on Nature in the 2024-2026 In Colors
Sharing Wendy's Shoebox Swap card from last weekend. It's a great compliment to the other cards I've made with the Spotlight on Nature bundle. Doesn't this flower look amazing in Shy Shamrock? Others made the card using Pretty in Pink which was equally exquisite. Some of us didn't colour in the flowers and others used different greetings. Anything goes with this cute layout. Thanks for designing this pretty card for us, Wendy!

Quick & Simple Card Layout featuring Everyday Details
A Quick & Simple card class card for you today featuring a stamped image and a little colouring. With an embossed background this is an ideal card for my monthly card class. No fuss, no muss. Change this layout up with whatever focal image you have, a circle, greeting and favourite embossing folder. Leaving a wider than normal border (the Azure Afternoon layer is 3 3/4" x 5") is a great deviation from the usual layout. Give this one a try!

Fresh Lemon card featuring Mediterranean Blooms
Just a wee bit of stamping on today's card as that stunning lemon spray is hand cut from the Mediterranean Blooms patterned paper in vibrant Garden Green and Lemon Lolly colours. I layered it onto a die cut from the coordinating bundle, Mediterranean Blooms that was embossed why my current fave, Eyelet 3D embossing folder. Tie an easy bow with the 1/2" Iridescent White Striped Trim ribbon to top it off. Enjoy your day!

Charming Duck Pond Scene Card for my Team Shoebox Swap
Meeting with my team, The Inksters, for a Shoebox Swap this afternoon and here's my card. Lots of fun die cutting to put this scene card together. I love those dappled dots embellishments...they look a bit like bird eggs - duck eggs? with their speckled white dots all over. I hope they love making my card. I know I will have a great time making all their beautiful creations. Watch for those to be posted in the coming week!

Everyday Details Nest Card
Sweet thinking of you card for today! I coloured the nest in to give it more definition as stamping alone wasn't quite to my liking. I used Pebble Path Stampin' Blends which is a great neutral colour to accent with hues of blues and green on this card. Wasn't sure about the wide panels criss-crossed behind the circle but the more I look at it, the more I like it. Hope you've had a wonderful week and enjoy the weekend.

Country Birdhouse Flip Flap Card
Fun fold flap card with the dies from the Country Birdhouse bundle. The birdhouse itself is around 3" tall from top to bottom making it perfect for this flap card. The top and bottom flaps are 3" x 4" and folded in to create the point. They are tucked between the Basic White layer and Basic Gray card base. The flowers and leaves come in this bundle, too, and are a great focal point on the sill beside the bird. Have fun with fun folds!

Bistro Burger for a mouthwatering summer meal!
Continuing to enjoy BBQ season? I got a new BBQ this year and we're loving it. No more heading out for burgers cuz we can enjoy our own. Have tried some kebabs as well to perfect my technique. Some wins there! Today's card is one I made a few months ago when I was desigining for my Bistro Burger Avid Stampers class. Who knew you needed a stamp set with a burger, fries and a pickle? Now I've got one. Enjoy!

Fragrant Forest Background Stamp for a quick holiday card
Another card for my Christmas collection this year featuring the Fragrant Forest single background stamp. Sometimes you want to jazz it up a bit so after stamping it on a layer, I trimmed it down to 4 rectangles then mounted it on gold foil then onto the Cherry Cobbler card base. This background stamp is so very detailed and gives a beautiful stamp image. You could make a whole sheet of personalized pattern paper with it! The greeting and tag come from a new set, Greetings of the Season which is a must-have set for use all holiday season long. Enjoy!

Sweetly Scripted paired with Painted Lavender for the perfect birthday day!
I can remember one of the first stamp sets I purchased had a beautifiul scripty font and so when Sweetly Scripted came out, I had to get my hands on it. Six stylishly scripty greetings to cover your most used occasions: birthday, thank you, anniversary, thinking of you, get well and even a Save the Date! The floral sprays on today's card from Painted Lavender which has no greetings so a great pairing with Sweety Scripted. I stamped the sprays first (once full strength then once again beside three times) then embossed it with the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder. Simple yet impactful, I think!

Not just an everyday card with Everyday Details coordinating stamp set and dies
A beautiful vase of flowers perfectly frame using the Everyday Details stamp set and coordinating dies! This is pool party cardstock which I haven't used in a donkey's age and like how it goes nicely with Fresh Freesi and Lemon Lime Twist for the leaves. Layer up your cards to add depth and dimension. A full embossed layer of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" covering the entire card front is new to me and I like the look with the Eyelet 3D embossing folder! Happy Sunday one and all.

Tuned In to Saturday Morning Cartoons
Retro time! Did you have a TV like this growing up? Remember how few channels we got but we thought we had it all?! Sharing today's card from one of my friends in the TLC Tutorial group. Together we put together a 4 to 6 card tutorial complete with instructions every single month! Very talented stampers and I just love how we always pick something different to share.

A So Sincere Happy Birthday with Bird's Eye View
These little birds are darling! I saw a colour palette recently featuring Lemon Lime Twist and Blackberry Bliss and though - yup - that will work for this card! The Bird's Eye View stamp set doesn't have greetings with it so I paired this card up with the So Sincere set as I know I wanted a long vertical one. Perfect! The squares are 1 1/2" and down 1/8" in size from there adhered to the front flap which is about 3/4" thinner than the cardbase back giving it loads of texture. Enjoy!

Bunches of Blueberries with heat embossing - oh WOW!
Oh the blueberries...can't quite get enough of this fruit all summer. For yet another way to use the Bunches of Blueberries stamp set, try embossing with our new WOW Embossing powder collection on a dark cardbase like Blueberry Bushel. The strip of white Cane Weave 3D folder breaks it up a bit drawing your eye to the focal point hand cut out after colouring with Light Blueberry Bushel and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends. Really shows it all off nicely!

Keeping Tabs on Birthdays
Do your family birthdays all fall around the same time or are they spaced out a bit? With a big family, I imagine it's all year long! My 3 children celebrate their birthdays across 5 weeks then we added my son-in-law a few weeks later and my grandson a few weeks before the extravaganza begins! By mid September, we should be ready to put off eating cake til mine in January. Today is my daughter Michelle's birthday, the first one to make me a mom. Happy Birthday, Michelle! Today's card features the Keeping Tabs bundle which you can get with a punch or a die option and is quite unique to use as card vs tabs for a journal or scrapbooking page. Try it out!

Naturally Gilded Backdrop for a Grassy Grove Holiday Card
I seem to be launching into Holiday cards already - and why not? As many friends have pointed out on FB, the holiday season will soon be upon us - oh my! This one came together with the Grassy Grove stamp set for the trees and the matching Grove Dies for the deer. I was going for a full on silver look to this one, so I grabbed the Naturally Gilded specialty paper for the backdrop and added some ink blending with Pretty in Pink, Balmy Blue and Smoky Slate. The trees and greet at heat embossed in silver for an elegant look.

From Scraps came a Mirroring Technique Butterfly Card
Sometimes you start a project when you're just playing with a new stamp set, colour or product and have a bunch of "bits" left over. That's how this card came together! I wanted to try stamping the a full butterfly from the half one in the Spotlight on Nature stamp set. Using my silicone craft mat, I did a mirroring technique and voila this was the result! Not bad for my first try! To pull it all together, I grabbed a scrap 2" x 6" piece of patterned paper from my cast offs for a colour palette of Peach Pie and Petunia Pop with a little Blackberry Bliss to really make that butterfly appear to fly off the card. So happy with how this turned out as my TLC Tutorial Group card for July!

My Painted Lavender stamp set finally gets some love and ink!
Got that stamp set just hanging around and not seeing ink on a regular basis? That's Painted Lavender for me. I use the coordinating Perennial Postage Dies a lot for layers and greetings but the stamp set hasn't seen an ink pad at all! Time to break that habit and ink it up. I love butterflies so those were an easy choice to decorate these floral images. Placed it on an embossed backdrop using the Eyelet folder in Boho Blue which goes so darn well with Old Olive ink - one of my all time faves. So if you've got a stamp set that hasn't seen an ink pad ever or in forever, I challenge you to pull it out and have a go! You will surprise yourself!

Five Little Charming Pond Ducks
I've had so much fun playing with the Charming Duck Pond Bundle - and in particular the dies which made this card come together so quickly! No stamping required beyond the greeting. Reminds me of the song I sing to Allistair, "Five Little Ducks". Great combination: Pebbled Path, Lost Lagoon, Balmy Blue, Bubble Bath and a hint of Lemon Lime Twist. The embossed layer is the Cane Weave folder which I like to add in a smaller bits for texture. Have a great weekend!

Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder for die cutand embossed greetings in a snap!
One of the August Monthly card class cards. This Perennial Lavender paper makes it pretty easy to coordinate your embellishments and as a layer over Crumb Cake cardstock. I like these Butterfly Accent die cuts - they come plain white but jazz them up with a matching colour using sponge daubers or blending brushes. Just the right touch here with Highland Heather and a coordinating die cut/embossed greeting. Happy Friday!

Paper Weaving a Checkered Tablecloth for Bistro Burger
How to easily create a checkered pattern?
1) buy the paper already done like this
2) cut 1" square and glue them onto a base
3) flashback to school days and weave Real Red and Basic White cardstock strips together.
I chose #3! And wow it was easy! I started with five strips of Real Red measuring 1" x 4" each and 3 strips of Basic White measuring 1" x 6" each. That gave me some extra cardstock to cut off when done so I had some pretty perfect squares. I glued the top left corner together (white on red) and adhered as I went. A great tablecloth of this Bistro Burger delight from my Avid Stampers' class in July.

Dotted Blends Technique to show of the Hooray for Surprises Stamp Set and Dies
With this card I tried a new technique (is it new? I'm not sure...) of dotting Stampin' Blends in a wholly random pattern in the middle of the Basic White layer. This created my background. I recommend using the bullet end of the marker so as to not damage the brush tip. I used the light and dark versions of Azure Afternoon, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue and Fresh Freesia. I think it turned out quite well for an experiment. Finished off with a heart, flowers and greeting from the Hooray of Surprises stamp set and die bundle.

Sending any occasion cards with the Everyday Details Stamp Set and Dies
An any occasion card featuring the Everyday Details stamp set and multi-function dies! I particularly like the zig zag cut behind the greeting. I ran it through twice for a double line of the X's. The other shapes in the die set are circles and rectangles, two as shown here. That's colour palette of Petal Pink, Pretty Peacock with Basic White. Sweet card for sending with everyday greetings!

Citrus Blooms for a Quick and Elegant Card
This card is a the quickest with a Peach Pie card base, Basic White die cut layer - isn't that a cool die cut? - a stamped image and simple greeting and you're done! Taking the time to colour in the oranges, leaves and flowers was relaxing actually. Another option would be to use the dies from the Citrus Blooms bundle on the coordinating patterned paper with a similar image. Loads of options to bring it together beautifully!

Adventurous Sky meets Watercolor World
I haven't inked up the Watercolor World background stamp in ages...and got this idea to pair it up with this greeting from Thoughtful Expressions and the airplane from the Adventurous Sky bundle. Perfect! There are some many amazing people in my life cheering me on to be my best self that this could not be more true. Who's in your corner?

Happy 30th Birthday, Craig with a Bistro Burger!
Today we are celebrating my son, Craig's, 30th Birthday! Wow...30 turns around the sun hard to believe. Here's Craig's card which we made at the Bistro Burger card class in July. An accomplished young man who is well launched into his career and enjoying life. To me, he is a big deal! While burgers are a favourite, his choice for his birthday dinner is steak, baked potatoes and ceasar salad with chocolate cake, of course. Enjoy!

WintryTreetops with Bluejays or Cardinals?
They look like Cardinals...but with these colours I see a Bluejay there! Wintry Treetops will be featured in the Sept-Dec Mini Catalogue coming out September 4. Here's a sneak peek of one we made at my friend Stacey's home for Creativity Now. The background is a new embossing folder that you'll see in that catalogue, too. Really like the technique of die cutting the frame out in Basic White then colouring it in with Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends. Gorgeous card for fall! Enjoy!
