Valentine's Day is coming! Here's a lovely layout featuring the Endless Love Stamp Set and Die bundle with coordinating Made with Love patterned paper if you're in the market to add these to your stash. Important elements for these cards are hearts and red/pink/white colours! I particularly like the swirly heart in white (bottom left) which lends to seeing through to the decorative pieces behind. Winter days...snowed in....peaceful and quiet. A perfect time to tackle the stack of books crying to be read. Time to escape into a good story with a cup of tea and cozy blanket. I read a lot in the summer when outside in my sunny oasis, and now in front of the fireplace for a bit of respite after a busy week.
Oh what a darling card for Easter or as the stamp set is named, "Welcome Baby". This card was designed by my Silver Sister Marcy Denning. Boasting a set of pretty layered labels with a hint of vellum, the bunny really stands out against the white layer and cardbase. Very sweet!
A simple card featuring a large heart where the embossing folder is the star of the show! This one's called Hearts of Love and is new in our January to April Mini catalogue just in time for Valentine's Day. The foam hearts come as an assortment of 3mm and 6mm foam embellishments with thousands - so many they are measured in 28grams of weight. These will be great for shaker cards, too!
A happy gathering of a musical lot of bugs! This paper is just so adorable, right? The "Love You Lots" is one long stamp. And, to add interest to this card, I cut it into three and popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals. Adding an extra embossed layer that is the same as the cardbase colour is flattering to the whole look of this card. Enjoy!
We enjoyed making this card at my Team Stampin' Social earlier this month. Truly shows off the stunning floral spray from the Brushed with Beauty DSP. It's layered up on a simple card base with the top and bottom triangles being made from a 3" x 3" square placed down first on the card front. The greeting is from Inspiring Imperfections which I haven't inked up in way too long! I think this will be an anniversary card, what do you think?
Look who's popping up to wish a happy birthday! To create this background, I stamped the giraffe first in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, the coloured in the spots and body with Stampin' Blends: Lemon Lolly and Pecan Pie. Afterwards completing this, I steamped the leaves in Granny Apple Green and Garden Green inks, overlapping here and there. The greeting comes from the same stamp set as the giraffe: Silly Safari.
Just when I think I've seen the most gorgeous floral print....Stampin' Up! comes up with a new one to fall in love with: Brushed with Beauty together with coordinating embellishments - a feature you've come to expect from us! The colour palette works so well together: Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Mossy Meadow and Darling Duckling. I added a greeting from Encircled with Love. It will be a hit at Monthly Card Classse this month!
Valentine's Day is coming soon so I've started making a few cards. I mostly send/give to my children and grandson. This year, I've designed them with the Endless Love stamp set and die bundle with the idea of using for any "heart-worthy" occasion: wedding, thinking of you, birthday, friendship. This bundle will also be wonderful for memory keeping as there are several sizes of hearts perfect for sharing those special heart-worthy moments. Enjoy!
Here's a card from this month's Avid Stampers Class where we'll make 4 unique cards featuring the Sweet Bugs stamp set and die bundle. The best part? You take home the bundle to make more! A tip for using this Online Exclusive embossing folder called Lovely Stripes: spritz it lightly with water first before running through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine. That will keep the paper from tearing as it embosses the ridges. These little bugs are so cute, aren't they?
What do you think of this red caterpillar? I tried a few options - yellow, various greens, just plain white but it needed some creative license in order to bring charm to this layout! This is the Sweet Bugs bundle with coordinating Cute as a Bug DSP. Just one of our January monthly card class projects. Class is Saturday, January 10 or take as a kit-to-go and complete at home.
Is this card missing something? Why yes....there's no sentiment on the front. I keep a number of these to have "on hand" for when I need a quick card. I also keep some stamped greetings close by to marry up. Perfect for that last minute sympathy, thinking of you, get well or birthday card which crops up from time to time! How about you?
I'm blessed to have loads of friends with birthdays in January! And I love addressing cards and getting them in the mail to send happy greetings. Usually I send them a wee bit early as with the super mailboxes here, people don't get to their mailbox everyday. It's coming here, too, but in my neighbourhood they still deliver the mail to our homes. How lucky for those who are kept inside on cold winter days.
Texture, dimension and colour!? Why yes! This was achieved by very lightly dragging the Pecan Pie ink pad across the Sunflower embossed layer layer depositing a little colour here and there. Really brings out the depth of the embossing. To this I added a matte layer and a greeting with some Early Espresso Linen Thread. It was an experiment - and each and every one I made was unique - that turned out magnificently!
One of our newer stamp sets - Creative Haven - has big greetings filled with encouragement to every day challenges. This is one I know I'll use a lot. The paper that coordinates is retro and filled with images from hobbies like cooking, baking, reading, creating, sewing, arts and crafts. Perfect for the crafter in YOU!
Aren't these the cutest smiles ever? They come from the Silly Safari stamp set and its coordinating 1 7/8" circle punch used to matte the stamped images of the monkey and zebra. Makes a sweet welcome new baby card.
Add pizzazz to the more neutral patterned papers in your collection with dry embossing. Look for a tighter, smaller embossed pattern for best results. It will give beautiful texture to your layer!
