Gathering Together this Fall

You've seen me use this paper pack quite a bit of late...I'm smitten! This is Gathering Together from our Online Exclusives offering. These are product not found in any publication and we release new items every other month! A great way to get season products for in the moment card making and scrapbooking. The layout of this card involves cutting off about 3/4" to 1" of the card base from the front and decorating the inside with a strip of coordinating patterned paper or embossing. Makes for a nice change from the standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card. Happy Fall, all!

Northern Lights through the Lights of Aurora Suite

I've always wanted to see the true Northern Lights in all their glory. I went on a trip to Iceland and while we had a tour planned, it was cancelled as the weather wasn't conducive to seeing them. We get glimpses once in a while but I'm too far south to get the full effect. The Lights of Aurora Suite is inspired by this magical phenomenon. Today's card from Genevieve Ko gives me a glimpse at the Northern Lights through the patterned paper. Enjoy!

Amber Autumn Greetings

Seeing signs of autumn yet or are you hanging on to summer days? Our weather has been warm - a bit too warm I'd say for pumpkins and gourds. They may not last through October if we get them yet. We do see the trees changing colours. In our neighbourhood there are certain red ones that are even starting to drop. Our Norway Maple out front is still green. The calendar says it's autumn so get out and enjoy the warmer days ahead until more seasonal weather is upon us!

Branching Out Dies to make the triple stamping card in a jif

This is a cool way to use a little paper and have it go a really long way! The patterned paper is a usual 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" piece. I cut it twice using the Branching Out dies that nest together. Same with a piece of cardstock that measure 4" x 5 1/4". Then layered them all up. The tricky part is keeping your patterned paper pieces in the same orientation so that when you glue them down the pattern flows. Very cool eh?

Go Nuts on your birthday with Fluffy Squirrel

Next week my Avid Stampers Class is taking home the Fluffy Squirrel Stamp Set and Punch bundle and 4 cards. We're doing 4 unique projects just for that class which you can see on my blog. This is one of many others I've made featuring fall leaves and the fluffy squirrel. I found that I could totally mix circles with rectangular shapes on the same project just by coordinating my paper and inks. If it's your birthday this month, channel your inner squirrel!

See the cards from my September 30 Avid Stampers Class here.

Big Birthday wishes With You in Mind

By far I make more Birthday cards than for any other occasion. How about you? I love sending birthday cards out to family, friends, customers. You should be on my list! For today's version, I used the really big stamp from the With You in Mind stamp set. Fits so nicely on this shaped die from Nested Essentials with it's decorative stitched edges. For the background, instead of a plain layer, I cut the Lovely Garden patterned paper into 4 even strips before adhering to a white layer. Enjoy!

Feathered Fun Birthday or Anniversary card?

While I like this as a birthday card...on second thought I think it would be great for an Anniversary card, too! Two adorable love birds. What do you think? We made this card for my September monthly card class and it was a hit. One of the ladies in my class chose not to colour in her birds and I thought that would make a really striking card if the base was in black. Think I'll give that variation a try!

Peaceful Garden for Christmas and All Year Long

Stacey designed this beautiful card with a fun layout for our recent Shoebox Swap and I love it! The paper, dies and embellishments all come from the Peaceful Garden Suite which has a nice holiday feel to it and yet can be used all year round for note cards, sympathy cards and the like. I'm seeing so much of the Misty Moonlight colour on trend this season. Works so well with this Suite. Enjoy!

Saying "Thanks for being there"

This weekend I'm away at a cottage with my sorority sisters to kick back and relax while we catch up, play some board games and enjoy some laughs. I'm grateful for their friendship and for their dedicating this time to each other so each and every one I say, "thanks for being there!". This card was made by Wendy on my team and gifted to me through our Shoebox Swap. Wendy and I met through sorority and have had this great friendship for over 30 years!

Simple and Elegant Birthday card with Kintsugi Inspirations DSP

This card is a simple layout with 3 stamped urns on the white layer then a 4th die cut out and popped up for interest. All it needed was some gold thread and the gold flower accent gem to finish off this understated birthday card. I feel this is one of those layouts I'll go back to again and again to use with sympathy cards, thinking of you and more.

Sending Warm Wishes with Notes and Totes

Isn't this the cutest tote? The die actually makes a 3D tiny tote to pop treats or mini cards into, and here's I've made it the focal point of my card. The Notes & Totes bundle comes with the super cute glasses, scarf and a water bottly, plus the handle, pouch and rivets for the tote. We made this one at my Avid Stampers class last month as we explored the many uses for this versatile die set. Enjoy!

Everyday Arches make a WOW fun fold

So much fun with the Everyday Arches bundle which is now back in stock. You don't have them yet? You gotta get 'em. Ten layered and stitched arched dies for so many uses: Scrapbooking / Memory keeping (die cut a photo out of one and layer onto cardstock); 3D projects like treat holders; and for one or many panels like on today's card. I doubled these up so that both sides of the flip flap fold shows the patterned paper. Give them a try!

And here's the front panel:

Spooky Hallowe'en Card

Each year, I get a NEW hallowe'en stamp set and this one really spoke to me! It's cute and that haunted house is great. There are two critters in this Spooky Hallowe'en bundle plus bats, the house and greetings. We made this card last week at my Team Stampin' Social so every has at least one hallowe'en card to give away. I see using uses critters on treat bags and as the front of a treat holder, too. And, for October I'll be making a project for the Elmira Community Living group featuring this Suite. Yep..found my jam here.

Centre Fold Pop Up Card featuring Traditions of Christmas paper

One of the first Christmas cards of 2025 and it's a WOW card. My Silver Sisters (select group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators in Canada) put on a virtual event 3 times a year for our team members and this was my contribution to yesterday's edition.

It's call the Centre Pop Up fun fold but the star of the show is the Traditions of Christmas patterned paper in Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Pool Party and Secret Sea with gold accents.
Here's a second version made with a Real Red Card base:

Fall Wall Sampler using the Modern Label Punch

I prepped 15 of these projects last night for the Elmira Community Living class on Monday. I know they'll love it! Not too complicated at all...I found these rectangular charger plates at Dollar Tree which was just the backdrop I was looking for with this project in mind. Each pumpkin is made with 3 Modern Oval punched shapes: adhere two overlapping a bit then glue the 3rd to the centre. I added a bit of texture using the Gathering Leaves 3D embossing folder on the front ones and did a little blending with Crumb Cake Ink. Those letters are really tall for die cuts and are offset among the five pumkins. Tickled with how it turned out!

Since I make so many, I'm happy to be the one to sprinkle some handmade love around making this stamp simply perfect for those projects! This layout is beautifully scalable to any size card you create: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", 5" x 7", and even square ones. Just make your strips longer. Happy with this layout!

Nested shapes with Everyday Arches

This is a super cute bundle with various nesting arch dies. I didn't think I needed it...then thought again. The stamps that go with the dies are arched, too, designed to wrap up and around the die cuts. To get this one embossed, I stamped it first on the Basic White layer then ran it through the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder. To the patterned paper I add two birds. It may be called Everyday Arches, but they make extraordinary cards!

Feathered Fun Anniversary Card

Oh so sweet these darling budgies remind me of my own from many years ago. Named them Salt & Pepper as they were a pair. This card is in my "mail out" box for an upcoming anniversary. October is one of those busy months for anniversaries within my friend and family group. What other occasion do you see making this card for?

Sweet Jar Bundle for our Shoebox Swap

Do you get together with others to papercraft? Our quarterly Shoebox Swap sessions are so much fun! Everyone on my team has a different style of card making and often we use a wide variety of products, techniques and colours. Just like a potluck supper...you never know what you're going to get. Today's card was designed by Holly and featured paper tearing - a technique I haven't done in ages. Holly used the Sweet Jar stamp set and punch bundle for the focal point and greeting in Petunia Pop and Old Olive with some Bubble Bath embossing thrown in. Loved it!

Black, Grey or Red Squirrels?

Do you have black, grey, or red squirrels where you live? Here in Ontario, we have an abundance of black squirrels. I remember growing up in Quebec that we mainly had grey once. I have even heard of a white squirrel. To celebrate these busy fall creatures, I been having fun with the Fluffy Squirrel stamp set and punch bundle. Added some paper from the Online Exclusives and a new embossing folder called Gathering Leaves. I love autumn and these little guys running around hiding their stash for the winter months is loads of fun to watch!

Feathered Fun Sweet Birds

Two sweet birdies bring birthday greetings today. They're from Feathered Fun in our Annual Catalogue which was one of my first purchases. I love birds - all birds - all the time. This year I even put up a bird feeder and have been experimenting with various types of seeds to attract different species to my backyard. The songbirds and cardinals are by far my favourite and so I got a songbird mix. Back to the card though...this is one we're making at my Monthly Card class for September. Message me for options!

Spacious Coneflower 3D Treat Holder

The coneflowers are still in full bloom in gardens in my neck of the woods. Have you got some blooming where you live? Six stampers gathered a few weeks ago and made this treat holder designed by my friend Dawn at our recent Shoebox Swap event. Super roomy to hold lots be it candies or gifties like lip balm and mini tissue packs. The colours remind me of fall as my coneflowers are shades of pink and purple so perfect for sharing this week.

Everyday Arches for Sweater Weather

Sweater weather is soon upon us with fall colours bringing a change in wardrobe at least for me. As we turn the calendar over and launch into September, I'm sharing a card made with the Everyday Arches bundle and some autumn hues: Cajun Craze and Garden Green with a touch of Basic White as the neutral. Layering up the arches with the rounded greeting is one way to use these dies but they're also perfect as layered tags for holidays, birthdays and "just because" gifts. Bring on the holiday crafting season!
