I like the simplicity of today's card as it makes it so duplicatable with any product in my stash. Kind of like the "Campbell's Soup" recipes. Add Cream of anything soup and you've got a meal in a jif. The recipe for this card is: 1 dry embossed layer, 4 pieces of scrap patterned paper set "higgly piggly" on the front, add a ribbon or die cut and finish off with a greeting on a punched or die cut layer; sprinkle with embellishments "to taste". It works, right? Enjoy!

Darling Dinos Swap Card
And here's my swap card from last weekend featuring the Darling Dinos Bundle. My first real play with it! I know Allistair will love this. I couldn't stop with the layers and kept adding and adding until finally this result. the front flap flips open to reveal a message on the inside as well.

Sweet Birthday Card
Today's card was designed by Dawn for the Shoebox Swap and was a real joy to put together! Got me out of my comfort zone with some small stamps in various colours to create the floral scenes top and bottom of the basic white layer. If you try this, stamp the greeting first to ensure you've got lots of space for it. This is from the Birthday Celebration we used for my January Avid Stampers Class but wow - this card is a completely different take on that bundle. Have a great day!

Interactive pop up card in Moody Mauve
Here's the inside of a fun pop up card Holly designed for the Shoebox Swap. It's interacive! The front flap drops down (and tucks in under the Moody Mauve cardstock flap at the top) to reveal the two mugs. I'll miss Moody Mauve which has been a soft and earthy colour in the palette to play with these past two years. Maybe it will come back in a future colour refresh! Enjoy!

Market Goodness Bundle
What a pretty Thank you card Jane designed for us to make at the Shoebox Swap! This paper is all kinds of florals and food - reminding me to head up our Farmer's Market once in a while. We fussy cut the bouquet, stamped the greeting and did the assembly in a snap! Another wonderful way to use up your scraps by trimming to 1"squares and layering them around a larger one with your greeting. Enjoy!

Getting this on in the books!
A fun bookmark! Think outside the box with your stamps and create beyond a card. Laurie designed this one for us for the Shoebox Swap and now I've got a new bookmark! We added a rustic touch with the little sliver of patterned paper along the side and multi-coloured Baker's Twine. Most definitely, this one's for the books!

Delightful Wishes Card the easy way!
Saturday's Team Shoebox Swap was just what I needed! A chance to be the "customer" and make the cards others designed. This one's by Stacey and had us hand cutting out the flowers (easy) and assembling (easier). Stacey stamped the greeting onto vellum for us (easiest!) by using Versamark first then Old Olive. It heat embossed to perfection. A very cheery card for what was a cold and wet day. Thanks for stopping by!

Loveliest Tree Sympathy Card
I was looking for a card I could teach to a new group of stampers that involved just one ink pad so we avoid cross contamination (and you know what I mean by that!) but added texture to it as well. I think I nailed it on this one! This is one of the first stamp set I got from the 2024-2025 annual catalogue called Loveliest Tree. I stamped it full strenght in Old Olive ink on the right side of the white layer then without re-inking I stamped it to the left. It overlaps a wee but that that's okay with me. A small layer of Old Olive card stock embossed with the Fern 3D embossing folder gave that natural texture I wanted. As I always I need a little bit of ribbon and gems on my cards so I opted for this Night of Navy behind the stamped greeting and coloured some Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels with coordinating Night of Navy Stampin' Blends to finish it off. We'll be making this one at the April 12 Spring Fling in Hespeler.

Try out Decorative Masks!
Another great find on the Last Chance list that you've gotta grab: Frosted Forest Decorative Masks #164350 for $10.50. And with that you can make this amazing tree! These masks are numbered to know which to layer on first with a little notch in the corner so lining them up is a snap. Using a Blending brush or wedge of sponge to add your ink through the mask onto cardstock. For my card, I used Basic Beige as the background just to add a little different colour than stark white. Perfect for any occasion especially masculine cards. Get these!

Flying By with Paper Airplanes
Do you remember making paper airplanes at school? I vividly recall being taught to do this with newspaper and being amazing at how they flew across the room! That all came to mind when I saw the Flying By stamp set in the Annual catalogue. There are various modes of transportation included in this set as well as 4 greetings with those dots at the beginning and end. You can add this to any greeting with a Stampin' Write marker, too!

Changing Leaves at a steal!
Besides being a dynamite texted embossing folder, right now the Changing Leaves stamp set and dies are a fantastic deal from the Last Chance list. The "Clearance Rack" was discontinued a few months ago and everything moved to the Last Chance list. All in one spot - I like it!

Floral Delight Suite Collection
The Floral Delight Suite is all over social media with patterned paper, vellum sheets, a stamp set, coordinating dies and embellishments. Did you know that the Suite SKU sells out almost immediately it's all that popular? But you can still get all or select just the elements of the Suite that fit in with your crafting? For me it was the stamp set and die bundle and the 6 sheets of 12 x 12 vellum. The dies actually cut out the images flawlessly from the vellum. No fussing cutting needed! And they add that softer look to the front of my card. This is one we'll be making at the March Avid Stampers Class which includes the stamp set and die bundle. Taking the class doesn't cost more than if you bought the bundle yourself except you get all the supplies to make 4 cards. Sweet deal!

Storybook Friends Dies meets For the Books Dies
Wouldn't this make a gorgeous wedding or anniversary card with a gift card, a book or scrapbook? Today's card combines two products from the current Mini catalogue, For the Books Bundle and Storybook Friends Dies. A beautiful decorative label and and actual "book" die! I see using the book die for teacher cards and gifts as well. Loads of possibilities! Enjoy.

Everyday Happiness DSP Left Overs Card
Here's a left over card...supplies from the scrapbooking kit I blew threw a few weeks ago provided stickers and a lovely full layer for the card front. On the inside, at the bottom of the card, I put a cast off piece just to add that little extra something. All better than tossing in the trash or having to store! This all comes from the Everyday Happiness paper. The suite has a matching stamp set and dies which I incorporated for the flower, leaves and greeting. Love these colours together!

Spring Fling Card Layout featuring the Bough Punch
This is a layout I've been going to lately to use up some of my growing patterned paper stash! A panel of 3 inches by 5.5 inches down the centre of the cardbase. Coupled with the bough punch which is perfect for adding little accents with no effort at all, this one comes together in a flash. This is one of the cards we'll be making at the St. Andrew's Hespeler Spring Fling on April 12. Here's where to register! I hope to see you there!

Beautiful Butterflies in Balmy Blue
Just starting to really play with this embossing folder - Beautiful Butterflies - and love the simplicity of one embossed layer with a greeting and embellishments. Packs a wow with minimal product. I used Balmy Blue which is not my usual go-to blue (I prefer Boho Blue but it's retiring soon - Nooooo!) but it is nicely offset with the Basic White and Night of Navy ink for the Happy Birthday sentiment. Save this to your easy layouts folder!

Friends of the Ocean Bright & Cheery Card
What bright and cheery paper is this? Friends of the Ocean with bold colours like Berry Burst, Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Lime Twist and Coastal Cabana. This layout's a keeper: 1" x 5 1/4" strips spaced out on a layer of coordinating cardstock then popped up onto a card base in your fave colour. Use a strip of white horizontally that is tall enough to house your greeting and add a punched or die cut shape or even ribbon at the other end. And it uses up some of those left over strips of patterned paper that I know you've been hoarding. Enjoy!

Sweet Layout featuring to the Point
Sweet and simple layout using the samp To The Point punch I featured in yesterday's post. Some cast off strips of patterned paper trimmed to 3/4" x 3" with that lovely gold 1 1/2" open weave trim on behind really brings it home. Thanks to Laura Buechler for this layout. I see this being a good layout for multiples and beginner cards. Anyone can put this together!

Timeless Plaid neutral colour card
One of the three cards we're making at the March Monthly card class. In person takes place on Monday March 10 or you can get the cards as a kit to go and supply your own inks, stamps and blocks to complete your cards. Really like how this one came together with the Timeless Plaid patterned paper for a more neutral colour palette. The pearls are coloured with Stampin' Blends to perfectly coordinate with the paper.

Cheery card with Delightful Wishes
Such a cheery card with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive acdents. The back layer is vellum card giving it a more translucent look in real life. It's attached to the card with the 1" strip of embossed Lemon Lolly on the left. Genius! These would make the perfect "thinking of you" card just as wonderfully as birthday and thank you. Add extra dimension to your leaves by sponging some ink of the matching or lighter/darker colour than you cardstock. So happy to share this card from received in a recent swap with you.

This one's For the Books!
Swap card from Melva Peters featuring the For the Books stamp set: this is a great set if you have a library of your own as there's even a stamp that says, "from the library of" included with it. Use it to make cards for the avid reader on your list, or for tags and bookmarks! It's really super cute. There are dies that go with, but at the very least you need this stamp set. Trust me.

Everyday You & Me Scrapbook Layout
Are you a scrapbooker? Cardmaker? Both? If like me you haven't done any memory keeping in a white, let me introduce you to the NEW line of scrapbooking products from Stampin' Up! I used the patterned paper, 12" x 12" cardstock and sticker sheet from Everyday You & Me with a little linen thread added. I LOVE how these turned out!

Every Day You and Me Scrapbook products
I had loads of fun last weekend playing with our Scrapbook products called Every Day You and Me. There's a package of patterned paper, coordinating 12 x 12 cardstock, a huge sheet of stickers and even a stamp set with dies. Mix and match to use the products you will incorporate in your memory keeping layouts. After making ten 12" x 12" pages, I had all kinds of left overs to make cards with here's one!

Mixed Foil Paper Card
A multi-texture card from Karen Duke in a our recent swap. The background gets its marbled look from some ink and a textured stamp. I like how Karen mixed different foil colours on the same card with gold and silver. The blues and silver really set the gold foil off nicely. Enjoy!
