Autumn continues to be upon us giving us a very long season which I'm thoroughly enjoying - how about you? While I love pumpkin in pies, cakes and loaves, I'm not particularly drawn to it in hot bevvies so for me today's card has hot chocolate written all over it in a blanket of whipped creams on these pretty autumn colours of petal pink and pumpkin pie. Welcome Autumn and may you stay with us a wee bit longer so we can enjoy your beautiful sunny and warm days.

Graceful Greenery Vellum with Wild Wheat Ribbon - oh yes!
Here's a card we made at a recent team event with gorgeous vellum and coordinating patterned paper from the Online Exclusive product, Graceful Greenery Vellum paper pack. I die cut them with the Sentimental Dies set which has a pair of layering tags but any shape will work. On the card base I used the Painted Trees 3D embossing folder which gives some texture if in the end the treetops were hidden. That Wild Wheat ribbon makes another appearance looking very gold paired with these colours. Enjoy!

Welcome card with Humble Home Bundle
There's so much more to the Humble Home bundle than holiday cards - it comes with this great Welcome greeting which is great for inviting people to a party but also for a "glad you're home" card or to welcome a new family to the neighbourhood. To achieve the light brick, I found it best to stamp off once as our amazing ink pads are super juicy. I've also used the edge of an old gift card to push ink away from the centre to ink up a stamp then push it back. The roof goes on after the brick house stamp. Alternated Real Red and Misty Moonlight inks for the sentiment for a change and adorned with 3 of the Basic Gray and Smoky Slate pearls. Enjoy!

Warms My Heart Easy Layout
Pumpkin season seems to be behind us but I wanted to share one more card from the incredibly versatile Warms My Heart stamp set in the Sep-Dec Mini Catalogue. The woven leaves were arranged to created a layer behind the stamped and cut image. Arffixing the large circle to extend beyond the embossed layer is a way to use those larger shapes in your stash beyond taking up the front of the card. Simply adhere to the edge and trim from the back before adding. Copy this layout with any focal point. Thanks for stopping by!

Light the Year Christmas Gatefold Card
Popping in with a more traditional holiday card. Having candles at the table is such a cozy way to enjoy your holiday meal whatever the size of your get together to celebrate. The colours in this patterned paper remind me of the meals we celebrated growing up: gold and yellow hues with red and green. Although growing up in an older neighbourhood in Quebec candles were used more than just for dinners as our power outages were regular in the winter months! We certainly enjoyed them encircled in pine or cedar on the table.

Season's Greetings from Snow Scenes
Bringing you a non-traditional coloured holiday card today, featuring the Snowy Scenes patterned paper and greeting from the coordinating stamp set. On this card I used: Petal Pink, Pool Party and Garden Green to coordinating with the circle from the designer series paper. The Snowflake 3D embossing folder is a well loved accessory this season. It's easy to line up so your embossing is perfect every time. Those teeny snowflakes finish it off with a little dot of liquid glue (or folded Mini Glue Dots). I whipped up a dozen of these for last week's Craft Fair. So easy.

Nothing's Better Than a warm beverage on a cool fall day!
Are you a coffee or tea drinker? Or maybe both? I'm partial to pure tea (nothing added) and my fave is Earl Grey. Even a latte is a little too much richness for me. For sure in Canada you need a warm bevvie to start these cooler days be it coffee, tea, hot cider or hot chocolate. Many a parent has a "Tim's" cup at sporting events, walking the dog or heading off to work. I think we can all agree nothing's better than a warm pick me up to keep you enjoying our fall and winter days. Happy Tuesday!

Season of Green & Gold for holiday decorating
It's coming...the most wonderful time of the year with holiday parties, light celebrations, Christmas Bazaars. Just as the nights are longer we begin to see people decorating their houses with bright lights, garland and red bows. This week is forecast to be fairly warm and mostly dry so I marvel at those who will get their lights up before it's freezing rain - smart! Enjoy your decorating friends....I'm not quite ready yet but I have loads of holiday cards made. Perhaps I should string them up on garland and call it decorated.

Versatile card layout featuring Regal Flora & Regal Winter DSP
I've really been drawn to creating new cards with the Regal Flora bundle. Such deep, rich colours in the patterned paper called Regal Winter for deciding on the card base and accent colours: Blackberry Bliss, Gold Foil, Highland Heather, Soft Sea Foam. After making this card, I copied it for a Wedding Card that my son Alec gave to his friends who were married in Ocrtober. Great design, right?

Winterly Treetops Bird Card
If you follow me you know my favourite bird is the Cardinal and that's what I see in this stamped image although with a shading in a different colour, these might be blue jays or another variant! Find your favourite colours and give the Winterly Treetops bundle a try. Use your preferred colouring medium - pastels, watercolor pencils, markers or Stampin' Blends to add just the right amount of shading to suit your style. Love this very simple and elegant card sent to me in a swap from Bonnie Creates. Have a lovely day!

Snowy Scenes Holiday Card: Let it Snow
An oh so sweet holiday card for Christmas or any snowy day! Good if you like snow...maybe not if you don't? But the penguin is adorable and you can just seem him sliding across the snowbanks or ice patches. A fun colour combo: Pool Party (that ribbon, too!), Real Red and Garden Green. The Snowy Scenes designer series paper pack comes with two sheets of thow snowflake pattern for a fab backdrop. The tag is from Merriest Trees dies but you could easily cut a rectangle and snip off the corners to achieve a similar look!
