My Breslau Community Centre "Golden Girls" class were asking how I choose to design cards and I shared with them that often I look for "dust" on a colour in my paper rack - that's a sure sign of a) I'm not a great housekeeper and b) it's been a while since I've used that colour! So it was with choosing Flirty Flamingo for today's card. It features some retired patterned paper from the Online Exclusives but grab any pattern you have and a floral stamp to die but or punch out and you can create this one in a snap! I particularly loved sprinkling with the various sized Loose Frosted Dots which also hadn't been opened on quite some time. Enjoy!
A softer look today highlighting the Lovely & Sweet stamp set and dies with Moody Mauve. Old Olive and a touch of gold. The large floral image on the front is heat embossed wth Gold embossing powder and all the background stamping behind is in Moody Mauve. I love making my own patterned paper backgrounds and this stamp set is perfect with smaller images to stamp here and here. Happy Tuesday!
Is our Riley shown in this collage of furry friends? Yes, kind of, in the middle, but somewhat obscurred by my watermark! Great story to share: this week, the UPS driver delivered a big package which required her to step out of the back of the truck where we were waiting to assist. She asked us what happened to your dog? She recalled him barking regularly then quieter then not at all over last summer. We shared how Riley went across the Rainbow Bridge last September. We were so touched that she remembered him. I didn't realize the impact he had on our neighbourhood visitors!
've missed posting these past few weeks as I've started a new FT job still working for the City of Guelph but in a different capacity. Lots of fun new things to learn which has taken up much of my time. Back to posting in earnest this week with this stunner of a card from my friend Shauna Mikulaik in Moose Jaw, SK.
